HistorySince 1975, family owned and operated Tim's Quality Car Care has provided motorists in the Metairie, LA 70005 area with comprehensive auto repair services that include Car Care Services, Brakes, General Services, Undercar Services, Heating and Cooling Services, Electrical Services, Transmission Services, Electronic Services, Internal Engine Services, Towing, Miscellaneous Services, Import and Foreign Car Repair and Domestic Car Repair.
When Tim, Sr. started his automotive career in the early '70s, he noticed a bad habit of the auto repair industry: ignoring the needs of its customers and only focusing on the cars. Customers would only leave frustrated because they had little understanding of the repairs needed and were confused about what they were paying for.
At Tim's we believe in giving our clients a full understanding of their vehicle before we perform any services or repairs. It is our job as professionals to completely inspect your vehicle so that you can make an educated decision when deciding on repairs. We have developed a custom digital inspection that includes ratings, pictures, and explanations of all systems on your vehicle.

These people truly care about their customers. Nick took me for a test drive in my car to diagnoise the problem and the first question he asked was " How much longer are you keeping the car and what are your goals for it". I only plan on having it for no more than another year and just wanted it safe for my wife to continue driving. After dropping it off I received a text an email with a full inspection, with pictures, of my car. They were many things wrong but Nick only suggested 3 things to fix but gave me a break down cost of each fix so I could decide what was in my budget. There was zero pressure

While they let you know everything that is wrong with your car, don't go there unless you are intending to spend thousands of dollars and being pressured to fix things you never knew about. I went there to have tires and a taillight fixed, but instead was pressured to spend thousands of dollars. I declined as I knew I could find better prices elsewhere and only got the services I came there for. While they fixed my problems for what im guessing is an okay price, it was evident they were unhappy with me not opting to fix my car. As my friend who also took his car there and reluctantly paid for thousands

Went to Tim’s somewhat on a whim after researching local shops. I am thoroughly impressed with Tim’s and the service I received. I knew of a few things that absolutely needed to checked and/or fixed with my car but Tim’s offered a multipoint inspection that pointed out so many other things that they were able to fix and are now on my radar for later. Everyone was positive and very pleasant to interact with.
They did great keeping me updated with progress and had everything done in a matter of like 2 or 3 business days. With the amount of work they did, that was amazing. I highly recommend

Tim's does something I've never seen at any other auto shop. They do a very thorough inspection of the car (that's not unusual). The unique part is the report they generate includes pictures so you can see exactly what they are talking about in the report.
They use a color rating system;
Green: all good
Yellow: needs attention, but not urgent
Red: needs attention now/soon
This is so helpful in addressing what needs to be done now and planning for the future repairs.
In summary, Tim's is a reliable, honest auto shop!

I am very particular about my vehicle maintenance. We started using Tim's in 2018 and have been very pleased with the quality of work. They are very thorough in diagnosing issues and always provide a "snapshot" of the total vehicle condition which helps us plan and budget for upcoming maintenance and repairs. Tim's uses only factory specified parts. This may cost a little more up front, but over 40 years of car ownership has taught me that quality provides value - and saves money in the long run.

Their customer service goes well above and beyond expectations, and their pick up/drop-off service is especially helpful to me. My interactions with Tim, Nick, and Brian have always been very positive. These guys seem to love what they do and take pride in their skills and professionalism. They’re also fun to talk with! I highly recommend their services.

I drive 200-300 miles a day for uber/lyft and have used Tim's for oil changes and full inspections every 5,000 miles. They are attentive to my concerns, follow through, call me with questions, extremely knowledgeable, and let me know when the car is ready. How many times have you had to call your mechanic for an update on your car's progress ? I recommend them daily as I drive riders to and from their dealership service. Dealership service has become too expensive and less customer service oriented for years.
I'm glad to have found these guys and plan to stick with them
