Jamie spent his youth in Clifton, New Jersey and graduated from Montclair State University in 1989. After graduation, he applied to many veterinary colleges and chose the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He graduated from UTCVM with his doctorate in 1994. Doc's passion has always been cats and dogs although he has always had a special interest and has extensive knowledge in exotic animals.

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet. Our wellness package includes a comprehensive physical exam, internal parasite test, heartworm test, and vaccinations. We also offer spay and neuter packages, as well as comprehensive blood tests for all life stages.

We operate primarily by appointment and do our best to schedule each appointment with ample time for you to discuss your concerns with your pets.

Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. We do not accept checks. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Callahan Drive Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program.

This was our first visit to this vet since relocating from Texas and although we were not allowed to go in with our fur baby due to Covid protocol, the staff and vet were phenomenal! Everyone we encountered was very nice and accommodating. The vet, Dr. Jamie Hilla, actually came out to our vehicle and talked to us about our cat. We will definitely be going back with our fur-baby needs!

I had really high hopes we would be in love with this facility after we had already been bringing my first dog Bella here for anything and everything. We brought our new dog in for her first appointment here to get a basic exam and proof of breed. The ladies here were extremely nice and helped us alot. The man who saw Luna today was actually pretty rude and just looked like he did not want to be there. I am completely shocked by this behavior since we have been using them for almost 2 years for our oldest dog.. unfortunately we don't support this business anymore and will be moving along I hope

My sweet little Wrigley is almost 4 years old and I have been using this veterinarian since his first visit. I've never experienced anything but wonderful with every visit. All of the assistants are informed and helpful and I love the doctor. I've never felt as if they were just trying to sell me something. And they are very patient with the dog mothers like me who probably ask crazy questions.. Thank you for everything you guys have done for this furry little pup!

I am appalled at how this clinic views their new colleagues and new doctors entering this career. If this is how you want to treat the new generation of veterinarians I can't imagine how they treat their technicians, assistants or receptionists..... and don't even want to know how you treat peoples animals..... why would anyone want to work for you or support you if this is how you want to talk about the industry? Everyone deserves support on their journey as it is not easy. NEW GRADS BEWARE!!!! This clinic does not support you.

Can't say enough. I called around all morning looking for a place to take my guinea pig cuz I thought he had an ear infection and every place on their website that said they took guinea pigs when I called they either no longer took guinea pigs or they were booked. Doc Villa ALWAYS takes care of Studly Dudley!! I will ALWAYS recommend Callahan Drive Animal Hospital & their entire team as they truly do care for your animal in the same way you do!! Dr Villa has cared for Dudley for most of his SIXTEEN years & he’s still happy, healthy & strong!! I strongly believe, Stud has made it to this old age so gracefully due to the care he’s been given with this facility!! I would not trust another team than Callahan Animal with my “first child”, the only place for us to go!! Highly recommended!!
