I just moved to Oakland and needed to find that “forever salon”. I came today for the first time and I loved it! The staff are very attentive, the armchairs very comfortable and the atmosphere very cozy. I loved the vibe that this salon transmits! My manicurist took care of my feet with great care and attention. I got a massage at the end which was amazing.

Local podcaster here very dissatisfied with my visit to simply green on November 14th 2021. My pedicurist Sara was amazing and did a fantastic job.
Halfway through my pedicure I asked the receptionist if I could add on a manicure. She replied that they were all booked up. I had no issue with that. However, three minutes after my pedicure was complete there was a cancellation and another customer who was also receiving a pedi asked is she could add a mani. The receptionist asked her if she would like to still add a manicure. When I asked her why I wasn't offered the Mani since I inquired

They have great products for nails, hair, and skin that don't overwhelm you with chemical odors. I get massages by Leland and he is very good. Their estheticians give amazing facials. Wonderful staff, clean facility, and comfortable chairs. I've been a loyal customer for years. Won't go anywhere else!

Our experience was amazing. It was my first pedicure ever and it was fabulous. My partner had a recent ankle sprain, she went with the reflexology pedicure and the staff were not only super gentle, the care put into the massage was healing for her foot. Fantabulous!!! We will be back :)

Simply Green Day Spa offers a wide variety of service for a good price. The talented staff members are friendly and professional. The environment is relaxing and very clean. I also love that they use vegan, cruelty-free beauty products.

This was my first step back into the world after becoming fully vaccinated so I was a bit nervous to be around people. The staff at Simply Green Day Spa was amazing. They all wore masks and face shields, along with temperature testing all clients and requiring that they wear a mask.

My day started at 10am upstairs with Leland giving me a very rejuvenating massage. He would steadily increase the pressure as the massage progressed, which was awesome since this was my first massage in over a year!

My friend swears by this place and they do a great job. They are "green" meaning, no toxic nail polish, so if you're an Essie guy or gal, bring your own.

All technicians are vaccinated, the seats are a few feet separated and as someone else previously mentioned, with the front door open, good air flow. And they do a good job for the price, with a nice leg massage during that pedi, lengthier than some other local spots.

I wanted to give them 5 stars! Mani pedis are wonderful and the space was safe and pleasant. Do not get waxing done here. Communication re what she was doing and the cost was not good, and my face is still swollen a day later (and no I'm not on retin-a or other drug that might make this MY fault). Great mani and pedi experience!
Was able to walk in and they accommodated me really nicely. I love the color selection, lots of quality brands and trendy colors.
I chose Butter brand nail polish. So far there's a lot of pigment and high shine.
I got the hot stone pedi and a regular mani. It was perfect.
The chairs are comfortable recliner chairs which are way better than the typical pedicure chairs, I have a lower back problem and I feel much more supported and comfortable.
Everything was clean and sanitary.
Very thorough job on massage and all of the technical nail stuff.

UPDATE 7/6/19: Called to make an appointment. Tried to give them another chance. Manager called me back to "make sure I'd called the right place" because they had noted my previous disappointment in their booking system. Apparently I've been flagged as an unsatisfied customer. Instead of improving their customer service, this is how they choose to treat people--by blacklisting them??? Ridiculous. Apparently they just don't care to get it right. 1.The women there were nice and they work hard. We tipped them accordingly.
2. They fit us in on a Sunday night.

Cons
1. There is absolutely nothing happening at this salon that justifies the exorbitant pricing. "Spa" Mani/Pedi is $52 + 2.50 surcharge if you pay with any card. That's right $54.50. After tax/tip my combo and my spouses pedi came to $99.50. $80+ for two pedicures and a manicure that were not spa level at all.

2. Seemed to be a lot of confusion with the nice but sort of clueless women at the desk and the women doing the work.

Ugh I really want to love this place. I love the eco concept and the location and have been coming here occasionally for years but the last few times I've visited I got very lazy and rushed service. The photos I shared here show a the standard quality of nails here, which is sloppy with uneven polish edges along the cuticles. The polish was chunky and it felt like my lady was rushing. Maybe the management doesn't pay their nail technicians well? The two I women experienced today felt like they were aiming very low for quality of service.
