Kwan learned therapeutic Thai massage as a little girl in Buriram Thailand from her grandmother, and went on to study at the famed massage school Wat Pho in Thailand and later at San Francisco School of Massage. She has a deep, intuitive knowledge of anatomy and how to find and heal the root causes of tension and pain.
Loyal clients have followed her from Thai Massage in San Francisco for over 9 years to Piedmont Avenue in Oakland and now to her center on University Avenue in Berkeley. Come see for yourself why so many give Malai Thai Massage 5-Star reviews on Yelp. You will not only return for more, but you will also find that you'll bring your family and friends to experience their healing touch.

Services
You worked hard all week and deserve some relaxation: mention Swedish Massage Special when booking and get $10.- So glad I found this place. I go to Thailand often and this is one of the best thai massages I ever had and closest to thai massages I get there. The masseuse had very good knowledge of technique and body anatomy.

Kwan is an exceptional massage therapist.
I get lots of body work being a massage therapist myself and wanted to widen my scope of therapeutic experience with a Thai massage. A 90 minute session completely ironed out three problem areas my regular therapist and acupuncture have not been able to resolve. Her knowledge of anatomy blended with traditional Thai techniques she learned from her grandmother as well as via formal training makes her an incredibly well rounded therapist. I'll be back and I'll be sending my own clients, friends, and family to her.

I rarely ever write reviews but it didn't feel right that this place only had one review! You need to come here!! This is my second time going in a little over a week because I cannot get enough of their massages. I regret that I don't remember their names, but I've had a different masseuse both times and both were absolutely amazing. I'm a nurse with arthritis so massages are huge for me! Definitely making this a regular visit. Thank you Malai Thai!

Heard that Malai Thai has expanded to the 2nd location in Oakland, so I gave it a try. Love it! The massage is great as always. Kwan is amazing and very skilled - she helped loosen my shoulders & back and they now move better!
The new location is still decorating on the front entrance, but inside is lovely. Easy parking at the back of the building is a huge plus for me.
Definitely, a must go for Thai massage! I found that it is even better than Thailand!
