If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership. Fish can be very rewarding as pets, and you just may be surprised about how much fish actually interact with their owners. Thanks to advancements in veterinary care, today's cats can live well into their teen years.

I brought my dog in a number of times asking about a cough and lump I found on her. This vet 2-3 times disregarded the problems and claimed it was allergies or nothing to worry about. Did not offer to do any tests beyond an eye test. Now I take my dog to a different vet for the first time in years and they tell me my dog has cancer, bone problems and a very short time to live since it is so advanced.
The new vet was extremely confused why wissahickon creek did not take any blood tests ever.
I would not use this vet for anything. I have concerns about their thoroughness and follow-through. It

Absolutely terrible experience. We've used this vet for years now, and now will no longer go back. We were trying to figure out if it is worthwhile getting two of our cats a visit for chronic illness that they have already had visits to address. They refused to talk to a doctor and the receptionist was completely unprofessional and dismissive. "Why did you call if you don't want an appointment". Are you kidding me? All we asked was a call back or a professional opinion on the next steps with our pets.
On top of this:
1. Genders wrong on our paperwork
2. Refusal to use the microchips in the pets

They have taken great care of my dog, they're attentive and communicate clearly about what's going on and their recommendations. They are busy and yet always answer the phone and have appointment slots on evenings and weekends. I'm glad to have found their practice! Will continue to go for wellness checks and more urgent care.

We had an amazing experience! My dog (a toy Maltese poodle) was bit by another dog and Wissahickon Creek Vet took her within the hour and came up with a plan and had her home within the day. They were very compassionate and helpful throughout the healing process as well! I was able to send an image when I was worried about the wound and they brought her back in to clean it up and check everything out. I’m so thankful they kept my girl safe and helped her heal quickly!
They were also incredibly affordable! I would definitely recommend Wissahickon Creek Vet. (Images show the initial job by the

Dr. Yard and her team are outstanding! They show compassion and understanding to both pets and their owners and are never too busy to spend the time to put a mind at ease. Dr. Yard has gone out of her way on more than one occasion to give me a call after she has put in a long hard day after my pups surgery. They treat my pets as if they were their own!

Nice office. "Beth" (vet tech) very helpful & a good listener . Price was a bit steep however, I think it's the going rate. Would be nice to have price list posted on website at all veterinary offices.
After $1100+ I thought I would have met the Surgeon.
I would definitely use & recommended the office.
Beth also carried& helped me to get crate in car.

Outstanding, modern, super-comfy and posh. Best staff I've ever encountered! Were amazingly comforting during euthanizing my 13yr-old cat w/ failing kidneys. I couldn't have asked for a better environment for such a sad occasion. They treated my pet with dignity even after his death. I highly recommend them for all your pets needs

Possibly there vet services are ok. I went to pick up a Foster cat that was done being checked. Got there at 7:30pm called the front desk that I'm outside for pick up. 7:45 rolls around, 7:50 I call again saying I have to go where is the cat. Got some stupid BS story so finally at 8:20 they brought the cat out. Needless to say I was beyond pissed… the hell off, I had to be somewhere which of course they made me late for. Everytime I see a tech and asked, was told we are working as fast as we can. In the meantime I see a tech with a broom inside sweeping floors, but no one could bring me

Dr. Yard, Dr. Spring and the entire staff and truly wonderful people. My 6 year old fur baby was not in good health and it could have had a very bad outcome. Dr. Yard takes whatever amount of time is needed to provide the best level of care possible. We agreed on a conservative approach until that proved otherwise; then she had to operate. I… was new to this facility and referred by a friend who lives in the area. I traveled an hour each way with a car that does NOT like a car ride. After 7 days, 2 operations and dietary changes for life, my boy has a new lease on life. I will never go anywhere

I took my bulldog (Angus) here for the first time today and I am so pleased with WCVH! I needed an urgent appointment for my dog right away and they were able to see him this evening - I was so relieved but… mostly impressed they were able to make space for my dog on such a busy day (saw some many pet owners coming in!). Although I was unable to go inside the Vet due their COVID-19 safety regulations, they made me feel confident that my dog was in good hands. They picked up Angus from the car, they did all the check-up and necessary testings, and then the doctor called me right away to give
