By far one of the worst Chinese restaurants I’ve had in Champaign! The chicken tasted old and the rice was dry and crunchy. Along with the food being very disappointing I was yelled at on the phone by the worker simply because I could not understand what she was saying. Unfortunately I will not be returning to green jade any time soon. Better off spending money elsewhere where you are treated with respect.

I've now had Green Jade twice. The first time their website was being redone and not working correctly so we called in to order but because of the language barrier it was a little difficult to understand one another but once we got the food it was absolutely amazing. So when I was visiting a friend on that side of town again it was my first suggestion for where we should order from. This trip however was much more difficult. We ordered online, which their new website is very nice. We walked there since it wasn't far and grabbed our food and walked home. While unpacking our food and opening all

Hot, fresh, fast Chinese food with generous portions. Pretty typical of what you expect from a small Chinese restaurant in a plaza.
COVID-19 update: they've transformed their doors into a make shift walk up window. I was able to order online and pay when I arrived. You can no longer go in the restaurant, at least this was the case at lunch.

I ordered delivery. Hunan Chicken was delicious! I'm not used to getting this with onions at other restaurants, but it was a welcome surprise. The sauce was one of the best I have had. Very fresh vegetables and good meat as well. The pork egg rolls were tasty but a little small. I will definitely order again from here!

Gave a 5-star for Champaign area. Had their Mongolian Beef, the beef
was flavored right, tender w/out any sinew/fat attached. It could 've used more beef but overall flavor was very good. The egg rolls are small but had a good pork flavor. A friend had plain 'ol Broccoli Chicken, they let me try it and it had good flavoring, again the chicken was tender no sinewy pieces better than others I've reviewed . The Egg Drop soup is just average. The little lady taking orders is a little difficult to understand and she thought the same of me. Their Pork Fried rice is what I'm familiar

A terrible Chinese chicken with bad food and the service was horrible. This place was dirty and unclean and the person at the counter store acted like I was a Taiwanese nationalist. This place did not even offer napkins, chopsticks, any sauces, and most importantly did not even give me a fortune cookie. The owner or person behind the counter was very rude at this should be the Chinese restaurant of last resort in Champaign Illinois

Best Chinese take out I have had! Service is okay, but the food makes up for it. Everything seems more fresh here than your average take out restaurant. My husband and I usually order the angel hair house special or lo mein. General Taos is good too, and they're fried rice is great. Highly recommended!

Their customer service is usually good. I ordered general tso chicken and asked instead of the rice and broccoli could I just get some snow peas? The woman on the phone was rude and when I went to pick up the food, as they were fixing it, I asked again about the snow peas instead of the rice and broccoli and again she was rude and cut me off! It was a simple request that wouldn't have put them out any... a switch from broccoli and rice to just snow peas!!!

Kung Pao had no taste, and the pieces of chicken were way too soft. Sesame Chicken was tasty. Rice was nicely cooked. Hot and Sour soup was very tasty with quality ingredients. The service was very prompt, but not too friendly or welcoming. However, when coming in for a quick bite, it is not a deal breaker. The place would have received at least four stars from me, if it were not for the following serious issue: It was quite dirty inside with stained, even sticky tables, and nasty overfilled garbage bin, which is right at the entrance, so you cannot avoid it. Their garbage bin is beyond filthy

I've been in C-U since 2010 and I keep coming back to Green Jade as my go-to for Chinese takeout. I have tried other places but for a solid takeout meal, it's Green Jade.
I'm not an overly experimental eater when it comes to Chinese food, so I can give you good ratings on the General Tso's, the crab rangoon, egg rolls, the steamed pork dumplings, sesame chicken, chicken with garlic sauce, and the moo shoo pork. All of these are done well. The fried rice is also very good. I like the vegetables that come with the chicken with garlic sauce, including water chestnuts. Like with

5/5 stars for Green Jade based on our first time here.
We spent just over $25 for 2 appetizers (crab rangoon & vegetable egg rolls), 2 entrees (broccoli w/ garlic sauce & pork lo mean) and extra rice. Not bad. We ordered the large sizes, too. I loved the variety of vegetables in the broccoli dish; it even had some green beans in it!
The crab rangoons were probably my favorite part of the meal. They were the perfect size and shape and the perfect amount of fried. The filling was more cream cheese than crab, which I actually prefer. Sweet & sour sauce included, too!
Convenient location

SO much better than the take out we used to get from another local Chinese restaurant. The cashew chicken has large chunks of fresh veggies (zucchini, snow peas, carrots, mushrooms, celery and water chestnuts), good quality chicken, and they're not stingy with the cashews either. I can also vouch for the Lo Mein, Vegetable Fried rice (again, plentiful with the fresh veggies), and Beef & Broccoli. Reasonably priced, and very large portions. I always order online and they have everything ready for the time I want it ready to pick up. Just click "menu", then you can put the various

We've taken out from here several times over the years, and it was neither good nor bad, just ordinary take-out, but usually worth the trip for a quick dinner. Until tonight, when it was bad, just bad. Chicken with rice soup? They should call it a lot of wet rice with a few bits of chicken. Is soupless soup the new thing? That went straight into the fridge: I'll think about adding chicken broth, ginger, and maybe some shredded carrots. To salvage the flavorless shrimp lo mein and chicken fried rice, I had to re-stir fry each dish in a bit of sesame oil, adding generous amounts of sliced

So pleased with this place, it prompted me to make a Yelp profile!
Good, standard Chinese menu, but everything has that little something else... vegetables are fresh, sauces have real flavor.
It's absolutely what I want when I'm craving this kind of Chinese! Fried dumplings, Mongolian beef (best in town, I think!), General Tso's that carries both the spicy and sweet perfectly, sesame beef, boneless honey ribs. I just haven't had anything here I didn't like!
Add to that, it's clean (really clean!), organized, pleasant to wait in, and the staff are pleasant and

You know, I had a decent experience here. It was fast cooking and it was just an easy process of ordering. Prices are normal and portions are huge. I got the combination chow mein and I definitely split that for two meals.
HUGE portions and I thought the taste was good too. Not amazing but really good (I'm sure there are better).
I'd return...it's just a bit out of the ways.

Green Jade is Boyfriend's Chinese place of choice, so I've been eating here fairly regularly for over a year. I had never been super impressed, but usually mostly satisfied with my food.
This, fellow Yelpers, was entirely MY fault. I kept ordering things from the regular menu like sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken and pork lo mein, expecting awesome. Don't get me wrong, those items are solid, even good. But not socks-off-knocking. The real beauty here is apparently in THE SPECIALS. ORDER THE SPECIALS.
We've been to Green Jade twice in the past six weeks. The first
