JAR reviewed the write up from a dealership and looked at our vehicle. They told us what items actually needed to be done now and what could be done later or wasn't necessary. The cost of their service was well below the dealership quote too. Patrick was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely take our car back for future service!

My brother recommended JAR, and he was right. I have had all three of my cars worked on by JAR, and they were able to fix a long-standing service light that my previous mechanic could not fix.
I also used JAR to evaluate a car I was considering buying, and they did a comprehensive inspection and briefed me clearly on what work it would need in the future. I HIGHLY recommend JAR.

My car FINALLY got the TLC it deserves! I admit, I keep my car clean and looking good, but some major stuff that needed to be done, I slacked on. I can honestly say I have been needing to get a strut assembly for more than a year! (Thanks Atlanta Potholes!!!!)....I put it off because It didn't sound as bad and to my knowledge wasn't really affecting my cars performance.
End of 2020, and I could tell a major difference! I needed to get this done ASAP. I visited my dealership and they wanted to charge $2,300, even after I got $1,500 worth of work previously.

I'm writing a review for two services. The first service I went for was my brakes for my 2013 Toyota Corolla back in 2018. Great price and great staff. They didn't try to up-sell me on anything. I told them what I wanted and it was done. The staff even offered to drop me off somewhere while I was waiting.

We've had work done on several vehicles by JAR and always been pleased with their service. However, my most recent experience really impressed me and deserves to be shared. My 17-yr-old son accidentally put diesel in his Toyota Avalon. He drove it 2 miles until it died. We had it towed to JAR. I expected to pay around $1000 for repair since he had driven it, which Google says can make the situation much worse. However, after draining the tank and doing a fuel injector service, we walked out the same day for $293. They could have taken advantage of the situation, and I really appreciate that

They talk a lot but can't seem to be able to answer basic questions. My YouTube teachings are probably higher that their mechanic knowledge. I paid over $350 for them update my car? It's not a phone. I pointed out problems that they couldn't seem to see them selves. Over all bad experience . For the money I should of just went straight to Lexus dealer. I've learned my lesson. Came here for an emissions issue with my Prius with a sensor warning that kept it from passing emissions and they were able to fix the issue quickly and for hundreds of dollars less than the other groups I got estimates from. Super straight forward guys that help you understand the issues like you are a mechanic which I wish more people did. Then had an issue this week with my 12 volt batter in the back of my Prius not holding up on the cold weather. Went in they tested it and fixed it that day. I would say for any Japanese car issues they have you covered with dealer quality with more budget friendly

This shop is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Very honest upfront and affordable. For just a fraction of the price the dealership quoted I was able to get an extremely expensive fix done and quick too. Their customer service is A-1 Patrick was a great rep, he assisted every step of the way. I am very pleased and will be returning if I ever need work done moving forward. I really dislike car issues, especially when I'm at fault. So, I spilled a magnum of wine in my trunk (it rolled and hit something), and it just happened to spill over the part where the electrical board is underneath, so that the trunk would not open either manually or electrically. So, with a future beach trip planned, I was more motivated to get it fixed. I called Infiniti, and it was $150 just to look. So...no thanks! I decided to try this place, and am glad for the most part I came. For one, service was good, and they were fast! I did have to get a rental car, and the good news

Before JAR, I took my Toyota Sequoia (now Toyota Sienna) and Honda Element to several different shops with varying degrees of service and quality. Once I found JAR several years ago, I've never went anywhere else. They're customer service is top notch and the quality of work that will go into your car is the best. Their pricing falls between the dealership and your average auto shop and personally, I find this to be just right. They are giving you dealership parts with high quality work and better service than a dealership. If you have a Japanese car, this is your spot, look no further

I travel 28 miles to have this shop work on my car. Obviously, I bypass a lot of shops that are much closer and more convenient to me for a reason.
I'm convinced this business has extended the life of my car at least a year or two, which is not insignificant because I average 30,000 miles/yr.
I have an 06 Scion (Toyota) XB that will surpass 350,000 miles this week. I wouldn't have gotten to this milestone without JAR.

I have a classic Toyota. I don't trust taking it just anywhere.
I have confidence in JAR. I feel like it is a transparent business. If you don't understand what work is being done, ask. They will walk you through it. That is everything with auto repair. How often do you feel that way about your mechanic? They are not the least expensive but it's about value. I'd rather know that I am getting my money's worth. Shad and Ricky were extremely professional and kept me informed. My mechanic, Kenneth, was great. He explained the work that was done and answered my questions.

Brought my car in for a long overdue oil change. Was very surprised by the decor inside. Marble tops for an automotive shop. Felt like I was at a doctors office. They had a coffee maker and mini fridge to accommodate customers. Worker at front desk was very friendly and fun to talk to, to pass the time. Amazing job and service. Car ran so much smoother after the oil change.

Japanese Auto Repair is honestly the best auto repair shop-hands down. (Obviously I'm not the only one who thinks so, other yelpers do too.)
I first made contact with this business months back, when I drove by & noticed they specialize in Japanese vehicles. My cat happens to be Japanese so I thought I would check it out. My car was almost in need of an oil change. Pej helped me. I called to inquire information regarding their prices. They charge 20$ less than my old place. Automatically made an appointment.
Upon arrival I was greeted. The interior is very clean and its pretty cozy
