The doctors of Modern Dental Group have been at their same location since 1986. In those years, they have continually kept current with the advances in the latest dental technology. The most recent update was the introduction of digital x-rays. This technology provides the doctors with information that goes beyond the traditional x-rays, in addition to providing high quality imaging with greatly reduced radiation exposure.
We have two offices to meet all of our patients needs. Currently all four of our doctors are practicing and accepting new patients at our Downtown location. Our downtown Erie, PA dental office is located in the Modern Tool Building across from Hamot Hospital. We are conveniently located a few blocks from the Bayfront Highway, providing easy access to our office from anywhere in the Erie area.

DeMarco was born and raised in Erie, Pa. He is a 1976 Cathedral Prep graduate and a 1981 graduate of Gannon University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree.

Carolynn got my teeth so clean that my family was blinded by their brightness upon my return home. I can’t stop gliding my tongue over that ultra-smooth surface!
Dr. Dave went in like a master technician and dropped major knowledge about a chip in my front tooth. No worries, he’s gonna fix it!

Had an emergency my normal Dentist was out of town. During an interview somehow we got talking about teeth and she referred me to Dr. Chris DeMarco. I'm extremely afraid of the Dentist, but was reassured that he is very gentle and I wont feel a thing. Well EVERYONE was dead on....I felt nothing and the staff and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I got the job and a NEW Dentist in the process.

They drilled into the wrong tooth during a root canal. Then offered me a discount to get it fixed. I had to get that tooth pulled by an oral surgeon. I discovered that the same thing was experienced by numerous other patients. I wanted to sue them. Fortunately for them no attorney would take the case.They do not care about the patients. Albeit they will take your money...

I love going into the downtown office, everyone is very kind and they know how much I hate going to the dentist. They are quick yet very tedious in my cleaning and examination. I like how Dr. Casella knows me and we make a plan on the direction of care my teeth need. Glad I have such an awesome dentist!

We always have a very positive experience, everyone at modern Dental is excellent starting from the check in staff ,Dental hygienists to physicians. We see Dr Casella , who is great ,especially with our 13 and 10 year old ,making them feel comfortable at the dentist appointments. We Had a dental emergency once and they were able to get us in on the same day ! Highly recommend their practice .
