We have been going to Ray's Auto for decades. The new owner, Ali, is absolutely wonderful. Ali is a great communicator, I always feel that he's telling me everything and that the cost is not just competitive, but often lower than other places. We get all our maintenance work, repairs, and tires here. It's great to have a one stop shop!

Completely overcharge for their services. Very poor communication. I had to keep calling to follow up, quoted time was completely inaccurate. I told a friend how I felt like I was overcharged and my experience to find out they had the same experience as well as a friend of theirs when going to this shop.

This place is a gem and I have waited quite some time to write this review as I have gotten my car serviced here since 08/2019! Ali, the shop owner is honest, professional, punctual, and extremely thorough. As a female who doesn’t know much about cars I really appreciated their honesty and the fact that they aren’t trying to upsell their services.
I came across this shop when I brought in my vehicle for a second opinion as another shop had given me an estimate that was extremely high. Ali and his crew provided an estimate for issues that needed to be addressed right away and other issues

Avoid this place for mechanical repairs!
This place is an okay tire shop at it's best. I wouldn't trust on their repair or one stop shop claims.
If you wanted to get quality results for their high prices, please avoid these scammers.
This shop wasted 4 days of my life, when they were supposed to fix it the same say. And the communication ends when you leave your car. I paid $2700 for them to have the car and still not fox the problem but add 5 more problems to my car. And they wouldn't admit that.
As a result they wasted my time, my money, and never fixed my car but added more

Really friendly and pretty quick service, but I *did* just pay $267 for an oil change and Smog ($110 for the Smog alone). I used to think this was a great small and convenient location to take my Bug, but after talking to other European friends with VWs, turns out this is pricey for the 2 things I had done.
I was told the price of synthetic euro oil has increased but found it online for half the price I was charged. Ditto Smog - runs at $50 max in other garages in the area. So, easy and convenient enough but I basically paid double. My fault for not checking first.

I found Ray's when my GMC suddenly overheated and I barely got it back home. When I called Ray's the following Monday, Ali was able to get me in that day. Car is running well now and I was able to swap out a replacement part (save some $$) for what turned out to be an expensive job (water pump) so I appreciate that. If you do go with Ray's, make sure to get a clear quote on parts and labor (they should be able to tell you this for the work you need done).

I took my daughter's car to Ray's auto repair to replace her tires. They were able to work on it the same day. They checked her brakes for free and discovered that the rotors were crystallized and needed replacing. I was grateful that they spotted this unsafe condition and fixed it. The parking is limited to a narrow driveway but they turn your car around so exiting is easier. Service was excellent and professional!

I had a tire blowout emergency on 101.
I put on my spare donut tire and cruised onto the El Camino in Redwood City.
I noticed Ray's across the street after passing a very busy Big O Tires.
Ali came out and asked what I needed. He had a new 245 60 18" tire to fit my Honda Odyssey.
He mounted and balanced the new tire and installed it in 15 minutes!!!
I asked his shop helper to check the air pressure in my spare donut tire.
The service was Fantastic..!!

The service was great! I was there early in the morning and Staff attended customers immediately. My car was blowing hot air and Ray’s Auto Shop fixed it really well and didn’t made me wait for a long time and fixed it ASAP. I will definitely recommend and come back to this shop.

Very happy, honest and professional would recommend ! My steering wheel on my 2005 Porsche was shaking on the highway around 65mph. I stopped by without an appointment and Ali took care of the problem right away. He took the car for a test drive after the repair to double check that the problem was gone. He also didn't try to sell me on an alignment and said I only need balancing.

This is the kind of business that you want to support. Excellent, high-quality work on my car and at a very reasonable cost. It is hard enough to afford to live in the Bay Area and they work with you and tell you what you need to keep your car running on the road safely and not more. I left work on a rainy day and realized that one of my tires was completely shot! I scurried to find a place online that was close by and open. Since it was 15 min before they closed, I thought I'd give Ray's a call and see if they would take a look at my tire. I spoke to Ali who said he'd be happy to take a look. When I got there they greeted me at my car and quickly diagnosed the problem. I love Ray's. I have taken every vehicle I have owned while living in the RWC here and never been disappointed. Now under new management they still kept the focus of the customer service and I trust them implicitly.
From German performance to your Ole Ford truck you just need to keep on the road they got you fam! He will even work on your sisters busted *ss 89 Doge van she thinks she's going to live #Vanlife in and make sure she doesnt end up broken down in the middle of Ohio with her dog as she contemplates her existence, vehicle and life choices.
