How can drinking get people in trouble, Just watch some of these video's and then ask yourself, have I ever done anything like that. If so then just thank GOD there were no camera's around. It's easy for us to think about the good times and how much fun we had, here are some exaples that can lead to trouble.
Anxiety is the body's way of responding to being in danger. Adrenaline is rushed into our bloodstream to enable us to run away or fight. This happens whether the danger is real, or whether we believe the danger is there when actually there is none. It is the body's alarm and survival mechanism. Primitive man wouldn't have survived for long without this life-saving response.

Only care about money- Mixed up all of my information, and schedule me as a patient intake rather than an alcohol eval, didn't properly score up or sign off on my paperwork, but made sure to charge me $175 for it anyways. I told them all I was required to do was get an eval, but after my visit told me i would be required to pay for 12 sessions out of pocket despite being told by both working staff and the therapist who evaluated me that I clearly don't have a substance abuse problem. (Got a fake ID taken away and was required ONLY to get the eval). I now have no choice but to pay them almost $500

I should have listened to the other reviews. I want to Amos counseling to try and get an ESA letter. I already had a therapist through my school and was nit looking for another. I thought I had made this abundantly clear early on but apparently I was wrong. Not only did they fail to check with me to make sure I wanted counseling. They ran me around in an already bad mental state and signed me up for an intake session while I was under the impression that they required it for all patients. They didn't even do that very well, as my Thursday appointment was suddenly on Tuesday and over the phone.

Terrible Service. I would have left zero stars if I could. They cost me $75.00 for nothing. Ended up in Court anyways. Court cost could have been avoidable if Amos Counseling Office would have done their job right. Reviews do matter. Should have trusted them and listen to my gut. Thanks for nothing Amos Counseling.

I went to this place after they told me they accept my insurance and when I got there they took me into the back and just said. We don't accept your insurance. I got very angry as being a person in a mental anxiety attack they just shoved me out the door and said it wasn't their fault. DO NOT GO HERE

Absolutely the best counciling center I have ever been to! They went out of their way to help me with a problem in another state. Got me in classes straightaway. Made me feel comfortable even though I have social anxiety. Marty was awesome, she made sure the services were affordable. Then when my husband died The whole office was there for me and my child!! Jamie made sure we were ok. She even came to our house to check up on us. Then when my child got in some hot water they were there to rescue us again. Bonnie was amazing, taking time to go to meetings with us. I would have never gotten this

If only there were a zero. My grandchild and I are new to this area. I was seeking counseling services for my grandchild. I found Amos went there did the paperwork and waited for contact, no one contacted us. I waited for about two more weeks then I finally contacted them. At my grandchild's first appointment I was called into the counselors office within about 30 minutes and I was told that my grandchild needed to be prescribed depressants. The counselor who is incredibly relax by sitting in a recliner with her shoes off I found slightly offensive. Since I've lived with this child for the better

You feel like a person not a number! It's a very comfortable setting, easy place relax and be yourself. The counseling is awesome they don't keep you stuck in the deep depressive states of mind, like other places i've been! Regeneration and growth, peace of mind...these are all things i've found here at Amos!!! I would not trade them for the world! I'm so glad that I'd finally had enough, and found the good people here!!! I just really can't say enough good about them and the work "we've" accomplished already!
