Pet Dental Care is something pet owners can't ignore. Did you know that regularly brushing your dog's teeth and providing her with a healthy diet and plenty of chew toys can go a long way toward keeping her mouth healthy? Many pooches show signs of gum disease by the time they're four years old because they aren't provided with proper mouth care-and bad breath is often the first sign of a pet dental care problem.

They are for money not for animals. Super dishonest. She said my little dog needs inflammation shot which costs $165 and i asked if xray can tell if he had inflammation. She said yes. So i decided to take x ray first. But there was no inflammation .. and my dog got a bad trauma for the hospital from the technitian there. She is korean about 40 at her age. And she scared my dog and took him from me and went inside the door and i heard my dog bark crazy. It was almost crying and scream which i had bever heard from him before. I found 'modern animal hospital' on beverly blvd. They are awesome you

Senior staff speak negatively of there paying customers behind closed doors.
Unclear if this location is a teaching facility. But I am under the impression students practice without disclosing so.
Fees are inflated.

You would think looking at all these horrible reviews and ratings, they would at least try to do things differently.
From the rude front staff, to the vet who doesnt even bother to examine the pets physically, not to mention the condesending tone at base from the doctors and the staff.
I wonder why she even got into profession in the first place. As a korean myself, I am embarrased and ashamed how this doctor conducts herself as a veterinarian.

My dog got vaccinated here. A couple months later I needed to show the vaccination records to Petco to get my baby groomed. Unfortunately I lost the records while moving. I went back to go get a copy but not only did Western say they didnt have a record of the shots, they said they dont have a record of my dog ever being there for anything. Seriously?

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here , they charged me $100 to see my two cats when the vet came in he was only there for one minute. First impressions matter I didn’t feel that they engage you into a conversation or ask if you have any questions. I had to call the vet back and asked why the visit was so fast.I was concerned about my cats and wanted to know if they were healthy please don’t waste your time or money coming here.

Don't bring your kitten here! We came for our first round of vaccines, I asked for an estimate over the phone before our appointment, and was told we'd pay $50 for a doctor's consultation and $46 for the first round of shots. Additionally, their website has a 50% off first consultation coupon.

We ended up paying $224 for the visit. They wouldn't honor the coupon I brought on my phone, and said it had to be printed, even though it doesn't say in any of the details that it has to be printed, it just says "bring this coupon with you." I told them I didn't have

The worst clinic for pets. Dr. consultation costs $50, but ask nothing for pets. Just come in and out. Never bring your pets.

So i did call the clinics about prescription for diet food for my dog and the receptionist ( or some vet!!!) told me i need to do blood tests first , i dont know why they think that you can let health of your pet become this bad that you can check issues via blood - to the person i was speaking: when blood render issues- its already bad state of health, i will not recommend this hospital to anyone with somewhat serious issues

I usually enjoy bringing my dog to this vet. While the person who helped me today was so nice and helpful it's such shame with the way they run things. I had an appointment at 2pm I was told to check in and wait in the car when a room was available for my pet. Which I understand only to get there and have them put my dogs vaccines in the waiting room. What was the point of making me wait 20 mins in my car to have my dog be service in the waiting area??? My dog is a very nervous dog and being in the waiting area did not help how nervous he is around vets. Extremely disappointed with today&apos

Save your money and go somewhere else where they actually care about your pets’ needs. These people are scammers. They made me pay for something I didn’t need for my dogs instead of giving me the medication that they’ve gotten in the past that I went in to get again.
Then they asked me to repay $50 each to see the doctor again in order to get what I asked for in the first place. They don’t care about your pet, only about making money.

The staff was extremely nice!!!! This is my third time taking my dog here and they are amazing each time. The guy who gave my dog his injection and coned him was super nice to me and especially to him. Their prices are told to you before charging you. They even break it down for you so you’re aware of what you are paying. They were even aware that my dog needed to renew his vaccines and informed me that I could email them the records of his previous vaccinations so they can also have it. It goes to show that they are a caring place and care for our pets well-being.

They have a rescheduling fee apparently and they don’t tell you. I called today to reschedule my appointment and the so called manager tells me that she will charge me a fee of 25 dollars per pet. I was never told this. She says they tell this when we set up the appointment. I informed her I was not told this on the day of my appointment. She then puts me on hold and then comes back and tells me that I was told this and that I was also told again on the day of my confirmation I tell her I was not told this when I answered my call for confirmation it only took a few seconds and that the women

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN!!!
Was trying to reschedule my appointment the so called manager was trying to charge me a cancellation fee. Keep in mind I was never told of a cancellation fee when I set up the appointment and when I was called to confirm my appointment. This place has become a joke. On top of that the 1st time I came here they told me to do a Yelp review to receive free flee medication and they charged me. DO NOT COME HERE OR TRY TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT!!! They are only in for the money. They aren't about your pets. Last time I was here I had good service this time worst

Find some other vet and avoid. The Vet only takes a look at your dog for a minute or two heartlessly like some other reviewers said and would only check the condition I've explained. She would not have checked or noticed if I had not told her about the condition because she is too busy taking too many customers. She didn't seem to care about the animals too much. One star is for the nice nurses.

Bobo passed away April 2018. I went to Western
to confirm in disbelief that my baby was gone. Dr Kim saw me in the lobby with Bobo in my arms and ignored me. Then the receptionist said we'll only charge you for consult since we confirmed Bobo was deceased. Western Animal Hospital, please know pets are not just animals but our babies. Please be more empathetic and sympathetic.

Oh Lord. I have been going there as a default no more ever. The staff is so rude. They will NEVER a help you on the phone, the goal is always to reel you in and charge. That's it. No love of animals there. It's a business. If that's how you feel about your animal, great, if you want TLC for your animal, I strongly suggest you find a different place.

Extremely expensive. Will charge you for expensive stuff that your pet doesn't even need, just to give you the wrong advise and false diagnosis.. The vet is so quick to give misdiagnosis and urge unneeded procedures just to make money, caring less about your pet's real problem.
The vet is simply unqualified and a big liar, or doesn't know anything about veterinary (I don't know which is worst).
All I can say is:
1- Don't believe everything they say about your pet's condition.
2- BE READY TO SPEND A LOT $$$$ HERE (They are NOT affordable at all)
3- And most importantly

We called and got a quotation for my dog's scaling. And they said tests that are needed before they do the scaling and i felt like they are adding too many but still we confirmed and went to the hospital. And they were adding more stuff and charging me double from what they quoted. And they said if we love the dog we should do all that if we dont we are not a good owner. We got so upset. And i think its not their call or decision to make what to do.

Came here for my 2 months old kitten because she was having diarrhea issues. They tested her for Felv/FIV/Hw (which came out negative). Gave her 2 injections: Centrine Injection & Convenia Injection, and send me home with Metronidazole which I am suppose to give my kitten for 10 days. Total came out to be $305.00. That's fine and dandy to me IF the injections and medications worked.. My kitten still had really bad diarrhea even though I was doing everything the doctor instructed and fed my kitten the medication.

I decided to call back on the 7th day because my kitten wasn't getting

I've been bringing my cat here since I got him at 4 weeks old and now he's 8 years old.

This is one of the most affordable veterinary clinics I've come across in the LA area. The staff is always friendly and answer any questions/concerns that I have.

The ladies of the office were the sweetest and most attentive here, they alone would get 5 stars for customer service if i could isolate.
Otherwise, not a vet i would personally recommend and will not be bringing my kitten back here.

The vet didn't ask anything aside from if i have noticed any issues and to insist that he had an ear infection (he doesn't, he's just a sphynx and has normal ear buildup for the breed) then left the room with the same disinterested demeanor he had entered with- no mention of shots or deworming. He was not happy that i was hesitant to agree that it was

I never felt taking advantage of, and they always have deals and the vet is so nice all the nurses are amazing. You feel at home and welcomed here, and they always care for your pet as family.

Thank you guys and we will see you again soon.

This review is based solely on my own and my mom's personal experience here at Western Animal Hospital. I really didn't want to complain about this place because I had a really good first impression on my first drop-in visit. I noticed my dog losing her appetite and showing strange behavior for about four days. My dog is normally extremely healthy, and besides taking her for her routine shots, we never took her to see a doctor. On May 31, we made a call to Western Animal Hospital and they immediately set up a same-day appointment. My mom took my dog in and surgery was urgently recommended

After getting a puppy for the first time in LA, I realized that in the beginning I am visiting veterinary clinics quite often. I am comparing between 3 different vets I have encountered.

This clinic is always booked, if you have any emergencies, your best bet is that this place won't have time for your pet. One other clinic we went to was also booked, but they gave you an option to wait outside and if they had any slow traffic, they see your pet. Luckily, it only required us to wait 20 mins and our puppy was able to see a doc, this place does not even have this option.
