Simply avoid these guys at all costs. I pay for 30mb/s and consistently hit 10 as my top speed when I test it. It’s a company based off scams. If you end up going through here, pick the lowest internet speed possible as you will get that anyways.

Critical: Quality
Wifi is currently out building wide and the “24/7” customer service line is not working. I just get sent to a busy tone then it disconnects. Overall wifi is horrible my data works better. Didn’t switch over Bc it was already set up with my apartment building but definitely will be next month.

Would rate lower than 1 star if I could. Constant outages, customer service is not helpful or understanding of the problem. Does nothing to remedy the inconveniences. Only a customer since it is managed by my apartment building.

By far the worst wifi I've had. It's included in my rent which is nice, but because it's a historical building I was told (by ResTech) that I'm not allowed to go to another vendor for my own network because that would require drilling new holes into the walls(???).
Since living here I've had to call them at least once a month to tell them I can't access the internet or that the wifi isn't showing up as an option at all. There was a period where I had to call them several times in one week because it just kept going down. Normally I wouldn't be so upset about it but I've been working from home

Worst internet service provider of all time. Had constant issues with my network going out every 10-20 minutes for months or dropping my speeds to laughable levels making even loading a webpage difficult. Now currently experiencing a building-wide outage at the Collegiate for over 3 hours leaving 100+ residents without WiFi for much of the school/work day. Their only response was that they’d have someone come out to the building “at some point” during the day to check it out. Absolutely garbage service.

Critical: Responsiveness
The service had been decent. But then, the service to our entire apartment building cut out. This is very difficult because the majority of our building are students and we have homework. On top of that when residents have attempted to reach out to them they have not responded.

ResTech is the provider of our apartment building and office building and seems to have constant outages throughout the day consistently. We have not had one day where the internet has not gone out for some period of time.
When calling customer service they are reluctant to help outside of blaming your current router or offering to restart service to your unit which never fixes the problem. At one point, we had to maintain a spreadsheet of all of the outages throughout the day with timestamps because whenever we called they insisted they saw no issues.

I would normally not leave a negative review especially for a local business, but I've never been more disappointed in a service like I am with Res Tech. I work two jobs from home. I need high speed internet. I had trouble requesting the upgrade via their website, so I sent through an email. Someone called me to confirm that they could not figure out the issue but would get back to me. They never got back to me. I then sent another email asking for an update. They responded a day later with the same response as the original - they didn't know what was going on, hung up and never got back to me

Unbelievable. Outages are SO frequent that I sigh with relief when I come home and find that I do have functional internet that day. And I know it’s not my wireless router because ResTech’s customer service line usually has an auto reply acknowledging the known outage.
Dec2019- Changing my review from one star to two stars. This past summer was as terrible as I described above, and there have been seasons like that in the past as well. However, there have been no issues in the past few months.
August2020- Changing my review to 4 stars. We had a few day stretch with extensive outages this

Restech is without a doubt the worst internet provider I have ever experienced after living in 3 different states. I lived in a Steve Brown building so I did not have an option in my internet provider. I was given the only option of 20 mbps for $19.99. Later on, I had tried to upgrade to 50 but found out that was impossible for my building.
I called customer support at least 20 times this past year to ask about internet outages or to try to improve my speed (one time of which there actually was an outage but no one was notified). I once asked if anyone else in my building was having difficulty
