I always loved photography. I got my first little film camera from my Nana at about the age of 8. I did "portrait" type of sessions with friends at about 12. I later studied Audio/ Video Productions (Communications) and then Marketing. I really became serious about photography when my oldest was born and I wanted to capture every moment.
Soon friends and family asked me to photograph their children. I love to read, travel and kayak. I love everything vintage, love to ride bikes with my boys, love to go to the movies with my husband. In Home Lifestyle Sessions are done in your home and I will NOT be bringing props, backdrops etc. We will be using your bed, the babies crib, a rocking chair as backdrops and your own swaddles for props. In Home Sessions are very relaxing and have a very natural feel to it. Mom and Dad will be in some of the pictures but if you don't want to be, I can make sure I strategically pose you that you are just a prop for baby haha.
Where do sessions take place? Session locations vary from family to family. Popular choices include local parks such as Alms Park, Eden Park, East Fork Lake. I try to stay away from parks that attract lots of other photographers. I have done session in a Laundromat, ice cream parlor or even in a downtown alley.

We so loved working with Sonja for our engagement photos at Ault Park. She was very flexible with our schedule, as we had to reschedule due to weather. The photos turned out fabulously, we loved every single one of them. She also got them back to us within 5 days of our session! Would recommend to anyone looking for photos around the Cincinnati area!

My husband and I worked with Sonja for our maternity shoot. I cried when I saw our pictures. They turned out better than I could’ve ever imagined. She was so professional and easy going. She listened to our vision for our pictures and she perfectly executed it. She was also flexible with a date change due to inclement weather. I've known Sonja for 5 years now. She took our family and newborn photos when my youngest was born. She is down to earth, easy going and fun to work with!
