We specialize in the design, development, testing and certification of cells, battery packs and devices equipped with electrochemical energy storage capabilities. Our accreditation includes IEEE 1725, IEEE1625, IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-5, ISO 7637-2 and National Motor Freight Classification 180; ASTM D5276.

Our processes and procedures address mechanical, environmental and chemical phenomena which may influence the performance and or safety of high energy electrochemical storage devices. Environmental chambers, battery cyclers, vibration tables, drop testers, high rate charge and discharge devices, digital microscope, x-ray, scanning electron microscope, mechanical stress testers, surge and ESD testing are just part of our vast capabilities.
Services
Our staff has been involved with the development of IEEE 1725 and IEEE 1625 from their inception and has direct experience in getting host and subsystems certified. These standards establish criteria for design analysis for quality and establish criteria for reliability of rechargeable Li-Ion and Li-Ion polymer batteries for mobile telephones and mobile computing devices.
ARTIN Engineering and Consulting Group, Inc. is a CTIA approved test lab. We can help with your CTIA battery certification needs in record time. Our panel of experts has been involved in the development of various battery performance and safety standards. Many chemistries including, but not limited to, Li-ion, Li-polymer, lead acid, NiCd, NiMH are our expertise.
Lithium Ion/Polymer - Developments in the lithium ion/polymer battery have been mostly focused on the cathode. Conventional lithium cells use lithium cobalt oxide, however, in the recent past lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide, coated lithium cobalt, mixtures of different lithium cathodes, lithium iron phosphate have been introduced in the consumer market.
