Do not go to this dentist! They will conduct treatments that are not authorized by your insurance and they do not inform you of this. I went for a cleaning and was told of the issues I had. Okay fine, what do I know about dentistry. How blindly we put our faith in people to do right by you, especially when they've received their doctorate. We were to do the procedures in two parts. I went for the first, which I knew was necessary as I had a root canal that did not have a cap. Between procedures I had time to think about the next one. The front desk and staff made me feel very comfortable, I felt like I have been going there for years and I only had two visits. I was very nervous because it had been a while outside of just normal cleaning that I had to do extensive dental work. They made me feel very comfortable, they even allowed me to listen to my meditation music to focus...lol.... I had a great experience with Happy Smiles Tampa... I'm so glad I finally found a Dentist that I feel comfortable with and that is close by my home. Thank you for the great experience and I will see you soon for my next visit

My horrible expience w this "dentist" started in September - "dentist" is in parenthesis because they're supposed to take an oath, which this dentist office does not implement. I went in for crowns the end of Sept 2018, after being advised by Samana that my insurance would cover it. In the middle of my procedure (after the dentist filed 4 of my teeth to almost nothing) Samana required I signed a form or they could not continue. After signing the form, the dentist finished filing my teeth down and putting a temporary crown on. After the temporary crown was placed, I left

I had 1 procedure with this dentist and was supposed to have a second. I was required to pay for both upfront. I later spoke with front desk employee named Anna. She was rude, pushy and spoke poor English. She refused to reimburse me for the 2nd procedure. I got a second opinion and was told I did not need 2nd procedure. I now have a new dentist who is wonderful as is her staff.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! BEWARE-!!!MISSED APPOINTMENT CHARGES -These people must not be doing well because I was charged $98 for a visit they said I missed back in 2016. I know cancelled that appointment , but it's their word against mine. I was told the bill would be taken care of when I told them a needed my crown replaced. They charged me $520 for the crown- which I thought was a little expensive, but I was told I would be reimbursed if there were any overages. Once I received my EOB with the charges I was responsible for , I was over charged by $158.00. So with EOB in hand I went back to

I've been going to Happy Smiles for 6 years, and have had a fantastic experience. Dr. Ponnaganti is very professional, very personable, and always takes time to explain everything very clearly. The staff is gentle, personable, and always very professional.
I've gone to Happy Smiles every 6 months for cleanings, as well as having two crowns done, and have had nothing but a great experience. Highly recommended!

Okay first I'd like to start by saying that I haven't been to the dentist in over a decade. Dr. Ponnaganti's office made me feel comfortable even though I was embarrassed and I hadn't been to the dentist in such a long time.
I do have insurance but I needed so much work done that even with insurance it was going to be quite costly. They took the time to go over things very thoroughly. So far I've gotten three crowns and extraction and a cleaning.
The staff is amazing Dr. P makes you feel very comfortable she's very kind and explains things so you understand them. Anna at the front desk is awesome

Horrible practice, starting from the doctor to all personal but especially billing and scheduling. My daughter was going there for over a year, she did not get proper treatment and now we end up with permanent damage on her teeth , that could be easily prevented a year ago. They don't care about patient just payment they get. If you need to cancel or reschedule the appointment do it with the office not the scheduling company, bc they are not connected, and you will have to pay no show fees even you rescheduled the appointment . Always treated well when I have an appointment. Anna at the front desk is a gem. Dr. P is wonderful in my book and I do not like going to the dentist to have work done. Her assistant is exceptional as well. My only complaint is cost after insurance and that is because we're seniors on a fixed income.

This office is clean and the staff is friendly. My first experience here wasnt too bad, the doctor seemed knowledgeable and informative. However, when I went back to have the work done I wasnt too satisfied. First, when I went for the cleaning they charged me an extra $30.00 just for the fluoride which at any other dentist I've been to my insurance has covered.
