Services
Massage therapy is a rapidly growing profession in mainstream America, with a wide variety of massage opportunities. To meet the demands of the job market, we teach a variety of modalities and techniques that are most popular in the massage field. Our students outperform on certification exams. More than 200 students have transferred from other massage schools to finish their education at Advanced Massage Therapeutics.
This class gives an overview of what massage therapy is today as well as a thorough understanding of the techniques of traditional Swedish massage. Students will learn the strokes of Swedish massage, basic anatomy and physiology, the bones and major muscles of the body, proper body mechanics, and a step- by-step routine for each body part in order to effectively practice massage.
Charles has been a practicing massage therapist since 1991, and teaching massage therapy since 1993. After working and teaching at the Louisville School of Massage from 1991-1998, he decided to open his own school and massage clinic in order to raise the standard of massage education to a higher level.
Because we are a massage school, we are setting the highest standard for massage therapy in Louisville, Kentucky. All of our therapists are licensed massage therapists in Kentucky. All massage therapists are highly trained professionals who specialize in many areas of massage.

Charles is stellar. This is the place to be. I recently took ceu courses here and I am so happy that I have found a home. In the past I usually fall asleep in class and get bored very quickly ——-BUT NOT HERE! It is very hands on and interactive, the classes are a wonderful size. I didn’t even have to bring my table nor sheets and the whole experience was incredible. I will only return to this establishment!! I will never take a class anywhere else. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The owner of the school is very cocky. When students need help, he just gets mad vs helping. He gets very defensive and acts like it is the student's fault. I paid $, I would like help when I need it .There are better schools. The other schools are more expensive but you'll get a professional quality education. And someone who really wants you to succeed. I changed schools bc of Charlie's attitude.

I loved going to AMT! I prefer smaller classroom education not to mention tuition is very affordable. I appreciate Charlie the owner is still very involved in the education process. I enjoyed all of the instructors as well. I couldn't imagine anywhere else would do a better job preparing me for my career as an LMT.

The instructors are fantastic and so knowledgeable! They genuinely care about learning everything they can to share with students and are so helpful and kind. The comforting environment and class discussions regarding all of the ways massage can help people are amazing. It is not an easy curriculum, but it is well worth every minute of class and study time and every dollar spent to be educated by such incredible people!
