We decided after the baby was born that we wanted professional photos taken to capture those smiles we seemed to keep missing with our own camera. My objective during our session is to capture those moments that we all experience, the ones when you look at your child and they make that one face and smile and you think to yourself that seriously there has never been a cuter thing in the history of the world.
Those moments as a family when you understand that you all go together so well even though at times your son seems to come from a different planet and you wonder when the mother-ship is coming back to get him.Basically I'm trying to get as close as possible to capturing what makes your family your life.

My goal is to capture authentic, beautiful family moments during our time together. Our session will be low-stress and fun, with a mixture of natural, candid shots and posed. I will work hard to help you feel at ease and find those real moments that you share with your family. Being a mother myself has given me the patience and understanding needed to photograph little ones!
I come to the hospital as a guest of the family and photograph your family during my personal time. Due to the time and distance from my home, the only NICUs I am able to provide these sessions for at this time are the following: Children's National Medical Center, Virginia Hospital Center, INOVA Fairfax.

We contacted Jessica to capture our maternity and newborn pictures. She was very professional and a delight to work with. She quickly responded and provided detailed information about her services. Scheduling the sessions was hassle free. During the newborn session, she was patience with our fussy baby and was able to calm her in order to capture the perfect pictures. We absolutely LOVED the finished products. We would definitely use her for any future pictures.

Our family has taken photos with Jessica for the last seven years and have loved each session. Jessica is very talented and a pleasure to work with. We love her style - she captures each family member’s personality in gorgeous pictures that are not cheesy at all. She is also so good with kids. We found Jessica after researching literally hundreds of photographers to do newborn photography for our first child. We picked her because we loved her natural style, and she also specialized in child + animal photos which was important to us since our animals are part of our family. We had such a wonderful experience with her and continued to use her with our second child and every annual family photo since then!
