I am a second generation dentist and pride myself on continuing the excellent standard of dental care established by my father, Dr. Richard W. Blass, since 1968. After many years of practicing dentistry, I continue to find it very fulfilling and I'm happy to provide a critical part of an individual's overall health and well-being.
Regular dental checkups, teeth cleaning, fillings, root canals-your dentist provides a variety of general dental treatments designed to help you maintain the health and integrity of your smile. Scheduling regular dental exams allows your dentist to monitor your dental health and provide treatment when necessary.
Your regular exam will take about 45 minutes. Each regular exam includes a detailed teeth cleaning, in which we will clean, polish, and rinse your teeth to remove any tartar and plaque that have built up on the tooth's surface. Visiting our office every six months gives you the chance to talk to the doctor about any questions you may have about your oral health.
I have been employed in the dental field for six years, the last three years in the office of Dr. Blass. Dr. Blass is a very caring and competent practitioner. He tailors his treatment to each patient's needs and strives to accomplish the treatment as painlessly and efficiently as possible.
I enjoy interacting with the patients and I do my best to make the administrative side of the office run smoothly so that the financial and dental insurance needs of each patient are handled competently.In my time outside of the office, I enjoy skiing, bowling and camping with my husband, my daughters and our dog, Ella.

Your first visit to our office may include x-rays that allow Dr. Blass to view the structure of the jaw, the position of any teeth that have not yet erupted, malformed roots, and tooth decay. The initial visit also involves attaining your medical history. When you share your medical history, be sure to provide complete, up-to-date information on your health.

I stumbled across Dr. Blass's practice while looking for a new dentist. I was SO glad that I did!!!!! He is so patient and kind, he really takes his time to make sure you are comfortable and happy. My husband and 2 kids switched to him after hearing about my experience there and they love him too!!!! If you don't like shots (let's be honest, who does?) he is THE BEST dentist I have ever been to see. I couldn't believe that the shots didn't hurt like they have every other dentist I have been to!!! My entire life I have been getting injections when I have cavities and he made it virtually painless

Never felt so comfortable at the dentist in my life! The entire staff makes you feel right at home.
Got me in and out in with a minimal wait time which really shows they care about their patients and there time.
Usually injections are extremely uncomfortable and painful for me but with Dr. Blass there was absolutely zero pain or discomfort.

Dr. Matthew Blass and his staff are amazing. He is the third dentist I have had and by far the best. You can tell Dr Blass and his staff care about making their patients as comfortable as possible. My wife normally hates going to the dentist, but once she started going to Dr Blass, she doesn’t mind it at all. My family and I will be patients for life. If you need a dentist or hate going to the dentist, I highly recommend you visiting Dr Matthew Blass you won’t regret it.

My dentist of >30 years retired, so I saw Dr. Blass for the first time last week. I wish I had switched to him years ago--he and his staff were very reassuring, and the exam and cleaning were painless but still very felt thorough. Painless was not a word I associated with the dentist for many years, but now I'm no longer dreading my next dental checkup.

Dr. Blass is an exceptional dentist. He always takes time to explain procedures and thoroughly answers any questions. I recently had a crown done and it looks great and fits perfectly. A tooth that I've had problems with for many years, he was able to correct. I would highly recommend him and feel fortunate to have found a great dentist since moving to the Chicago area.

My whole family has been visiting Dr. Blass and his wonderful staff for years and have nothing but great things to say. They show a level of caring for their patients that I've not seen anywhere else. From Sandy's warm welcoming in the reception, to Julia's skillful dental cleanings, to Dr. Blass's expertise, this practice is top notch from beginning to end. Even my kids look forward to visiting the dentist -- that should tell you something! Thank you guys for being such great people in care of our dental health!

My numerous experiences with Dr. Blass have been amazing. He had filled multiple cavities, referred me out for a root canal, and has helped me on 2 occasions oh short notice due to old fillings popping out.
He has been super accommodating taking me on last minute at the end of the day on a Friday, which speaks volumes to his dedication to patients. He is amazingly gentle. I have never once been in pain or discomfort in his chair and haven't felt much discomfort after the fact either. I highly recommend!!
