When asked what kind of photography Melissa does, she describes herself as being an "Emotive" Photographer. Melissa has the unique ability to capture the in-between moments. Her specialized training includes the unique ability to calm infants to capture them in their most precious moments. All sessions are different prices, truly depending on how many people, location, what type of session and for how long you are wanting a photographer for.
Newborn sessions take about 2 hours, depending on the baby. Some go faster, some take a little longer. I do allow times for baby to have a break, to be fed, changed or even just some time with the parents. Yes! Maternity sessions are near and dear to me. I offer a large client closet of maternity gowns that you are welcome to use for your session as well.

I truly enjoy spending time with my family as well as capturing lasting memories for you and your family to remember always. No matter if you are looking for a cozy location for a newborn session, a cake smash session for your 1 year old, some simple snap shots of all your kids or family together, I have you covered.
Melissa has been photographing newborns for over 10 years. Photographing hundreds of newborns, you are guaranteed to receive photos you will treasure for years to come. Melissa will invite you into her beautiful home studio, where she has everything needed for your newborn session. Including, props, outfits, wraps, headbands and so much more.
To make your maternity session even more special, Melissa offers a large selection of gowns that you are welcome to use for your session at no additional charge. Maternity Sessions take place between 30-35 weeks. Together we will work on a location that you would like, clothing options, gown choices, and who you may want to be included as part of your maternity session.
Though most of Melissa's family sessions are posed poses, She also likes to put in a few fun photos as well. Melissa believes having a fun family session is important and not something that is stressful. Remember that photos are not always about the location, the color you are wearing or even if you are looking at the camera.

Melissa is absolutely amazing and very patient. This was me and my husbands first pregnancy and first time ever taking professional photos. As soon as we met Melissa it felt like we have met her before, we felt so comfortable and relaxed. Melissa is awesome!!! This is the second time we have had her photograph our Grandson. We chose an outdoor setting and she was very knowledgeable about the park, which resulted in the photo shoot going very smoothly. She was very accommodating with our requests and put our almost two year old Grandson at ease. As far as the finished product, when your first pass through the pictures ends up with 72 pictures that you love, that should say something about Melissa as a photographer.

We have worked with Melissa for our son's baby milestone photos since he was three months old (just completed our one-year cake smash pictures) and have been thrilled with the album of photos we've created from these sessions. Melissa has captured Parker's personality every time, giving us the fun/serious/goofy faces our little guy makes. Melissa simply creates magic. She has photographed our family since before our first was born and now our third is 18 months old. Melissa was amazing with my newborn! The pictures turned out amazing. She was very patient and taught me a ton of tricks as a first time mom. I would recommend her to anyone looking for photos. She provided all of the different outfits and made the experience very easy. I will definitely being going back when my daughter turns 1 for new photos.

Melissa is an amazing photographer. I was looking for someone that was great with newborns and affordable. We chose to have Melissa do newborn pictures for our son and it was the best decision. This was our first family photography experience, Melissa exceeded our expectations. Our initial date was a dark and rainy day, I really wanted to just take photos but Melissa felt it would be best to reschedule to get the best pictures and I'm so thankful she did! Our pictures turned out beautiful and it was so hard to pick from all the wonderful images we had. We will definitely use her again but will make sure I book early! She books up quickly!

From start to finish Melissa was incredibly professional and prepared. As a first-timer with professional photos, I appreciated how thorough and prepared her instructions were. She had all the props needed for a newborn photo shoot (which was such a great relief as a mom of a newborn). We did family photos and newborn photos. She was so gentle and intuitive with my newborn and incredibly patient with my toddler (who went wild during the shoot). Her services were speedy (after the photo shoot we got lunch and as I arrived home the proofs were ready for review). I can't wait to see the final edited
