We provide adult outpatient services. Sequoia Counseling provides late teen and adult self referred and court ordered evaluations and recommended treatments for Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Domestic Violence, and general Mental Health issues.
All services are provided in an outpatient group or Individual therapy setting. Sequoia does not offer in patient services. A diversion program in the criminal justice system is a form of sentence in which the offender joins a rehabilitation program, which will help remedy the behavior leading to the original arrest, and avoid conviction and a criminal record.

Services
The evaluation process takes approximately one hour to complete and consists of a short written questionnaire followed by and a one-on-one interview with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. If the evaluation is ordered by the court or a probation officer, clients are required to bring a copy of the Police Report from the incident and a recent BCI Report.
Behavioral approaches help engage people in substance abuse treatment, provide incentives for them to remain abstinent, modify their attitudes and behaviors related to substance abuse, and increase their life skills to handle stressful circumstances and environmental cues that may trigger intense cravings for alcohol and prompt another cycle of compulsive abuse.
PRIME For Life is a research-based program developed by Prevention Research Institute (PRI), a non-profit educational organization headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky. The content of PRIME For Life is based on multi-disciplinary research and contains over 900 bibliographical references. It is the mandated statewide program in Georgia, Iowa, North Dakota, South Carolina, and Utah and delivered through community agencies in more than 45 states.

This was a terrible experience. I originally called because the website says they do relationship counseling. I asked the guy who answered to be sure and he said they do. So I scheduled an appointment for the following week. They called me the day of my appointment about 1 hr before I was going to go in, to reschedule. I rescheduled for the following week. So my new appointment day came, we went in to the office, we even took time off of work, just to be told by the guy at the front desk he "forgot" to call and tell us they don't do relationship counseling anymore so couldn't see us.
