Services
Whether your pet is in need of a routine wellness checkup or is feeling under the weather, Lovell Animal Hospital can provide your pet with the comprehensive care that he or she needs. Behavioral Counseling Dr. Sherri has a special passion for behavioral counseling and welcomes any questions you might have about your pet's anxiety issues, aggressive behavior, potty problems, or any other undesirable conduct.
At Lovell Animal Hospital, we take an individualized approach to everything we do. When you bring your cat, dog, or guinea pig to us for an annual wellness checkup, our recommendations and treatments will be tailored to your pet's specific needs in regard to age, activity level, daily habits, and health conditions.
Our digital radiology, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory can help us diagnose your pet's condition quickly, saving you time and eliminating the need for you to take your pet to another facility. Dr. Sherri can use these valuable diagnostic tools to pinpoint the cause of your pet's symptoms and to spot signs of underlying conditions early on, often before your pet displays any outward signs of trouble.
Annual dental checkups are recommended for all cats and dogs. At your pet's dental visit, Dr. Sherri or her staff will perform a thorough cleaning, polishing, and fluoride treatment. Your pet's mouth will be examined for anything out of the ordinary. She will advise you as to any further intervention (such as extractions or oral surgery) that may be necessary and can give you tips on how to take care of your pet's teeth between dental visits.
Our dog accommodations include seven indoor dog runs and a spacious, fenced-in backyard with plenty of greenspace and trees. Outdoor playtime is an extra service that our clients can select when making their pet's appointment. We also offer a small, secluded area for anxious dogs who prefer to be distanced from barking animals.

The staff and Dr Sherri here are too awesome for words! My cat was acting strange and I called as a new patient they got me an appointment the next day which was so appreciated. They listened to all my concerns and were super sweet with my baby during all the exams. The vet tech also trimmed my cats nails as well which was an awesome addition to the appointment. Dr Sherri was super thorough and offered me treatment options and explained everything very clearly. I also thought the prices were really fair and reasonable. From the front desk staff to Dr Sherri everyone made me feel comfortable and

Our pets have been seeing Dr. Sherri since 2012. She and her staff have always been accommodating and professional. She does wonderful work with our dog and 2 cats. When our first cat was sick, Dr. Sherri was very thorough in her diagnostics before referring us to UT. I appreciated that she was willing to refer when our cat's needs required more specialized attention. Our dog also sees Cecily once each month for a bath. Cecily is very sweet and does a beautiful job. Overall, we would recommend Lovell Animal Hospital to anyone for vet and grooming services.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Sheri and Lovell Animal Hospital. I had been to several cheaper vets and none were able to determine what was wrong. She did some blood work and knew what was wrong and prescribed the appropriate medication. My dog is back to her normal self. Great staff, no waiting, and always available. Love these guys.

Dr. Sherri has been caring for Grady and our cats for 6 years now, you can't ask for a more friendly neighborhood vet. She always takes the time to answer our questions and research any concerns. You see, Grady has had cancer several times and Dr. Sherri and her wonderful staff have there through it all. She regularly calls to check on him, personally, after his visits of concern.

Our experience with both the vet and other staff has been wonderful. We have a very difficult dog who has to be groomed because of the length of his hair and they worked with us to reach a solution in caring for our beloved family pet. A little pricey but they helped us when we've been told by another vet and groomer they would no longer see us.

Dr. Melskog is a good veterinarian, and we were patients/clients of hers for several years. We found ourselves I understand an unusual circumstance that warranted boarding our pet rabbit for an extended period of time while our house was on the market. I had spoken with Dr. Melskog the previous year about the possibility of this situation arising, should we need to sell our home. She was very sympathetic and assured me they would help us out and give us a reduced rate for long term boarding. After 4 weeks of boarding, at $18 per day (no kidding--for a bunny! No walking or bathing required, plus

Sad service here. We brought our dog in for grooming. They called and said that they could not groom the dog because the dog is fighting the groomer. We return to pick up the dog and they tell us that they in fact groomed our dog. We pay and they bring out our dog, ungroomed! Killing me smalls!
So there is a line of people building up behind us and they tell us they don't know how to issue a refund. They then ask us if they can check out the other customers because they can't figure out the refund! This goes on for a half hour! Finally my wife gives up and comes home in tears over the

The staff at Lovell Animal Hospital are caring and attentive. Dr. Sherri is great to my kitties, even my little monster who hates the vet.
The prices are what I'd expect from a good vet. Not exactly cheap, but also not inflated.
I've been to vets where I've felt pressured to buy services, insurance, meds, etc that seemed unnecessary. Lovell presents options and seems to trust the pet owners to make the right decisions. I trust that they'll provide the best vet service possible for my cats.
