Is your baby teething? Normally the first tooth erupts between ages 6 to 12 months. Gums are sore, tender and sometimes irritable until the age of 3. Rubbing sore gums gently with a clean finger, the back of a cold spoon or a cold, wet cloth helps soothe the gums. Teething rings work well, but avoid teething biscuits-they contain sugar that is not good for baby teeth.

This was my children’s first visit to a dentist and they were a little nervous . The hygienists were super friendly and explained everything to them. The dentist was also really good about explaining how their teeth are growing. The front office staff was also fantastic with guiding us through our visit. We had a fantastic visit and my kids are looking forward to their next appointment in 6 months.

I came in with my son today and a lovely assistant Emily helped us out. She explained everything in great detail to my son and I. She made sure he was comfortable before starting and even put on tattoos and was interested in what he was talking about. My son wouldn't stop talking about the office on the way home. 5 stars isn't enough!!!! Thank you PPD

The staff is wonderful providing for the needs of oral care for children and takes the time to explain the treatment plans if necessary. There awesome and my kids love coming here when it time for there 6 month check-up and cleanings! Highly recommended if looking for a dental pediatric office for your kiddos!

My daughter said she gives Potomac Pediatric Dentistry 1 Million stars and I concur. I was searching for a pediatric dentist for months and after a failed consultation and the horrible experience my daughter had at another dentist office. I found Potomac online. I have no complaints. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. My daughter had extensive dental work done, which required sedation and she was given the best care. I just want to applaud the young lady with glasses at the front desk! I think her name is Alexa or Alexis. She was so pleasant on the phone and when my son and I came for our appointment she was exactly the same! All of the staff were very pleasant and sweet. HIGHLY recommend. Amazing customer service!!!!

I searched and read reviews over and over again to find the best office for my toddler and am SO glad I found Potomac Pediatric Dentistry. I was nervous with how my 2 year old would handle her first dental visit but the staff, especially Ms. Jasmine, Dr. Holmes, and Amy made our experience easy and fun. My daughter walked out all smiles! I am so happy and relieved that we lucked out on such a great office!

The young lady at the front desk, technicians and the dentist were all so pleasant. I wish I could name drop so they could be applauded for a job well done. My 7 year old felt comfortable with the staff. They were really patient with my [nervous] two year old. Everything was thoroughly explained. Highly recommend. :)
