A new sense of freedom for the client is Austin's goal and, as a body worker, his greatest reward. His bodywork has been called "intelligent" because it is through his gifts of touch and intuition that he listens to the tissue, and lets it be his guide.
After graduating from the Avalon School of Massage and becoming a licensed massage therapist in 2010, he soon began working toward his certification in myofascial release with Til Luchau through his Advanced-Trainings program.Austin traveled throughout the United States and to Costa Rica to study, and finally received his Myofascial Release Certification in 2014.

Swedish massage is one of the most common types of massage. Its intention is to relax the whole body, and is ideal for relieving both physical and emotional stress. This type of massage is lighter in touch than other forms of bodywork and combines lotion with an array of strokes on the more superficial muscle layers.

I went for a myofascial release treatment for my lower back. This is not your relaxing soothing style massage. It was tough, and I feel so much better. I wish I had gone sooner. I will go back for back and leg work to be sure. I think this treatment has drastically shortened my recovery from a muscle strain.

I had an amazing experience with my first massage with Austin.
Setting up the appointment was super easy and he was very responsive to emails and questions.
Finding his office is also very easy - it's right across the street from Chacho's on Westheimer. I was a little apprehensive since I tend to be very sensitive to intense deep tissue massage but he made me feel very comfortable and really took his time in helping me adapt to the pressure.
Probably the best deep tissue massage I've ever had. I'll definitely go back and I highly highly recommend Austin.

I have tried 5 sport massages in the area including kinetic. However, David was the only therapist that left me feeling better and feeling like I actually began my way to recovery. I am recovering some injuries and needed someone knowledgeable that could work on athletes.
David as continue to treat me and other wrestlers and judo players with much success. If you compete in sports and are working on healing some injuries, or need to relieve some pressure points or increase recovery David is the person to see.

I'm a hairdresser, makeup artist & hair extensions specialist.. needless to say my back & shoulders have been killing me from constantly blow drying & shampooing.. I had a few of my clients reccomend Austin @ Houston Sports Massage.. I decided to check him out. He listened me as I told him what I did & if he could help the back pain.. he explained to me in detail what was going to do. Let me tell you something he is magic. Best massage I have ever had. I see him now every 6 weeks. My posture is better, because my muscles feel better. Hands down he is the best masseuse I have ever had. Easy going

Austin is a fantastic massage therapist! I've been going to him for about 3 months now as a compliment to my training regimen. He is great at listening to and addressing your needs through a combination of massage techniques. His massage style focuses on deep release but is the perfect balance of intensity and relaxation. I've already referred several of my colleagues and friends to Austin... he is just that good!

My left shoulder has been bothering me for a couple months so I went to Austin for a myofascial release massage.
This type of massage is not for the faint of heart! It's way more intense than a deep tissue massage b/c he applies sustained pressure to one area in order to break up the fascia.
I should have taken a couple shots of whisky before I decided to try this. Throughout most of it I managed not to cry like a little schoolgirl but there were some moments when I let out a couple shrieks.
To his credit, he asked me what kind of pressure I wanted and I told me "full force."

Austin came highly recommended from a friend of mine. I had been to regular massage places before but I needed much more focus on pressure points. Austin is extremely attentive. I came in with a lot of stress and left like I had the world lifted off my shoulders. I highly recommend Austin & I will forever be a client of his.
