Dr. Mercedes Leoncio was born and raised in the Bay Area. She attended college at the University of the Pacific Stockton campus in the advanced pre-dental program. During her time at Pacific, Dr. Leoncio served as President of the tri-Beta, the National Biological Honors Society and earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree, graduating Cum Laude.
She then went on to the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. During her time at the Dental School, she served as President of the Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Southern Alameda County Dental Society, California Center for Advanced Dental Studies and the American Academy of Clear Aligners.

The doctor who performed my checkup at Nuvo Dental and all of his staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The office was neat and efficient, and they accommodated my busy schedule plus were very polite to me even when I was running late! I really liked the doctor I worked with and the ways he used new technologies to explain which of my teeth need fillings, and how it would be done. The visit was short and sweet but very thorough. I am looking forward to starting my Invisalign treatment in the office later this month and would recommend Nuvo to anyone looking for a new dentist

Always great service when I walk in & big smiles with the Nuvo Squad whenever I showed up on the wrong days of my appointments. Dr. Nguyen always held great conversations while performing dentistry at high levels and made sure everything was taken care of efficiently. I’ve never had any issues when she was working with my teeth and if anything, they’re way better than before I stepped foot into Nuvo. Thank you for everything Nuvo! 💯

If a negative rating is available, I would offer it to them. Worst Dentist in the United States. When I went over for a toothache, instead of diagnosing my true condition, they extracted my wisdom teeth, which were not even bothering me. My jaw alignment was shifted as a result of the extraction, and I am now unable to close my teeth due to a 2mm gap. When I went back, I told them that my tooth is still aching and that it is becoming worse, and now I couldn't shut my teeth and having a biting problem. The dentist was unable to answer my questions and instead advised a root canal. Their only

This review is long overdue as I have been going here for 2 years but as they say, better late than never! Nuvo Dental is hands down the best dental practice that I've ever had the pleasure of going to for my teeth. Every appointment is a different experience but always a positive one and I can honestly say, I leave every time with a better smile and in a better mood than I came.

The intake forms were convenient to complete as they were all accessible by mobile platforms. Dr. Leoncio was very informative about each assessment and procedure she was performing. Angela was also very helpful with educating me on good dental practices! Overall, I'm glad I made the switch to Nuvo!

I had an issue with the wrong insurance being pulled up and instead of acknowledging the issue, the receptionist became argumentative. Made me really uncomfortable about trying to point out there was a billing issue. Received a call from Dr. Leoncio trying to address the issue. She said I would get an email, so I could provide current insurance info which I appreciated.
The problem is the email I received from the receptionist called it a "mix up" and didn't even attempt to apologize.

Have been a patient since 2019, overall it has been a great experience with Nuvo Dental! Dr Leoncio and her staff are remarkable. I've been visiting them every 4 months and would not want to skip an appointment!
On the side note, I just had my basic cleaning done today and I'm reminded how I love their hygienist, Jenny! She made sure all my concerns are addressed from my previous procedure. Also, even as an old client I was still able to get the free teeth whitening sesh! (Most dentist would only give this to NEW clients)
So honestly, I'd rate them 10/10 any day!

I woke up with an unbearable toothache and Nuvo was the only clinic open that early. I lucked out! They were great. They accommodated me into their busy schedule right away since I was in pain. The receptionist, the dental assistant, and the doctor were extremely kind. The facility is very clean and modern, the people are very warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

I've never been happier at a dentist. The entire team is so welcoming and takes the time to make sure all your questions are answered and that you are as comfortable as possible. I know the dentist can be quite an anxiety provoking experience for most people (including me!), but this was the best experience I've had.
I was treated by both Dr. Amun Rattan and Dr. Emami, who dealt with my gum infection and removal of wisdom teeth.
Dr. Rattan made sure I was informed every step of the way, gave me detailed instructions for antibiotics I needed to take, and thoroughly explained steps

I have been avoiding the dentist for quite some time but I’m happy to have found Dr. L and Dr. Rattan at Nuvo Dental. The office has new technology making the appointment smoother and my personal favorite, TVs mounted to the wall to watch during your appointment. I’m happy to have found this office and looking forward to seeing them every month for my Invisalign!

Amazing staff & quick response time. I'm a new patient of theirs & I'm already impressed at how comfortable I am talking to Dr. Bain(I think that's how you spell her name). It's been so long since I've been to a dentist & my last experience wasn't the best. I'm glad that I found Nuvo Dental!

Besides having a knowledgeable and courteous staff Nuvo Dental uses the most recent advancements in dental equipment and Technology. the dentists here have multiple certifications and credentials with a… knowledge base that is very impressive discovered this office by chance looking through the directory and I came upon the first name of the owner of Nuvo which is Mercedes . . I cannot be happier with the the choice I've made. 2 be a patient

I'm very glad to have found this place.
So far I've never had huge issues with service. Staff are very nice.
I did have some issues with scheduling appointments but things happen.
They are open in some Saturdays-great for me since it's hard to take time off from work.
The facilities is clean. They have a small parking lot behind the building but street parking is not too hard to find.
