Dr. Tiddle is the best! My dogs absolutely love her. She is a great listener and problem solver. She is very thorough. Many people complain about high costs here but what I appreciate is that they give you a detailed quote BEFORE doing anything to your pet, and by doing this I can accept or decline services.

We have been to Eastown Vet Clinic on two occasions now and have been very happy with our experiences. All of the staff members are friendly and more than happy to answer any questions and concerns. We were nervous about taking our newly adopted dog to the vet for the first time, as we did not know what to expect from him or the staff. He had a great experience though and I have to thank the staff for that. They use a very gentle non-aggressive approach and use lots of treats! Dr. Happel seems to be very knowledgeable and is lovely to talk to. All in all we are happy so far with our decision to

What I loved about Eastown veterinary clinic was how at ease they put me. Because I was relaxed Mr. Garcia was relaxed. I say good value, because it really isn't about the money. We all know going to the vet is never cheap. But the service was exception and I can not put a value on that. Everything was clearly explained. I was at no time uncomfortable with saying no, let's pass on that for now, or yes, let's get that done today. Everyone was gentle with Mr. Garcia and I knew were in the presence of people who truly care about animals.

I won't rate on prices. I will just rate on service. Everyone should know that veterinary care is expensive no matter where you go. You should do your research and get insurance or find a place that you trust the team of people caring for your pet. At Eastown they make sure to inform you beforehand of the treatment plan and costs associated with it. My dog is anxious and they were very professional with how they handled him. I'm grateful to have found such a great place to take our sweet pup.

Just visited and had a great experience! Went in for a first visit wellness check and the whole staff was very friendly and professional. Their main goal was to make sure we got what we wanted out of the appointment. It was a little more expensive than what we had expected, but they really did a lot for us and wanted us to be as comfortable as possible! Highly recommend!

I wish I could give a better rating, or give one based on the actual services provided. However, I sent a message inquiring about an appointment for my cat and was told to fill out and send in new client paperwork for a call back within 48 hours. That was over two weeks ago. I understand everyone is busy, but since I’m in their system (I’m getting the emails), I would think they would have gotten back to me to set up my first appointment by now. I chose to go somewhere else.

I have three cats, two of which are “frequent flyer” seniors with somewhat complex medical issues (one has hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure, early kidney disease, arthritis and has had two cancerous tumors successfully removed; the other has kidney disease and has had two surgeries to remove urinary stones—this required a lot of research on the doctors’ part to find the very specific dietary solution). I appreciate that the doctors work with me to manage these conditions while ensuring the focus is ALWAYS on the cats’ quality of life (and not just longevity). They respect our perspective

I’ve been taking my dog Oaken here for a year now since I first got him. He’s a sweetie but has had so many weird medical problems in his short little life. The staff and doctors at Eastown have been so caring and very helpful in figuring out what has been wrong with my puppy. He’s had a grass seed imbedded in his mouth that traveled through his face, he has had a few stomach problems, routine neutering, and Legg-Calve-Perthes disease. The team at Eastown have worked with us to manage his pain, perform surgeries on his face to find the grass seed, and made referrals to specialists for treatment

Very difficult to work with they pushy, Coercing you into the most expensive treatments...every test in every vaccine available plus astronomical cost for teeth cleaning which they shame you every time you bring your pet in. Even if you want to do the best, have done everything and have a healthy and happy pet. They don't allow for you to pick and choose what you want for your pet. Most expensive an unkind veterinarian clinic I've been to. The staff as the support staff are kind but are forcing the policies that they must follow.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tittle and everyone at Eastown Veterinary Clinic. Everyone's love of animals is palpable the second you step in - the gals behind the counter happily greet us and our fur-baby each time, for instance. We had a routine follow-up, and our visit was massively delayed - because Dr. Tittle was assisting two dog emergencies (ingestion of chocolate and a heart attack). The entire staff was extremely apologetic, but frankly, I don't mind waiting; if that were my pet, I'd want my vet to be able to give that much time and attention.
And Dr. Happel

I've been going to Eastown Veterinary Clinic for over 5 years and have spent literally thousands of dollars with them between preventative care and emergency care.
I have gone back and forth on what I would rate this vet when I finally do. Today was just the straw that broke the camels back. I can say the way the front desk runs things they would rather lose a patient they've had over 5 years vs. lose $50.
This morning I had an appointment at 9:40. I was alone, taking care of my two dogs, one who was recently attacked by another dog and has two large sutured gashes and a penrose

This clinic is expensive and they will try to up sell you until crack. I have taken my cats here on several occasions and have worked with each of the vets. I would never recommend this clinic. The vet techs start off your appointment by talking to you for a few minutes and then turning a computer screen toward you with a breakdown of their recommendations for care. Every. Single. Time. I have to tell them to take about half of the frivolous charges off. It is awkward when you decline the random stuff they are suggesting the to top it off the vet techs seem judgmental like you don't care about

WHAT is with this "can I put you on a brief hold?" method of answering the phone when patients call in?? I have stood next to reception while the phone is answered and every call gets this treatment! Two of you are there, and each caller is put on hold. Every. Single. Time. I watched the receptionist literally do nothing while callers waited.

Really nice vets and techs here. I love that they give my dogs peanut butter pops while we wait.
Clean interior, nice new building, efficient service. It's great that they notify you what every part of the services will cost. I go with the majority of their recommendations but sometimes opt out of something here or there.
This is one of the pricier vets in town, and my one complaint is that they don't take American Express which I find Unusual. but for me and my pups it's well worth it.

By far my favorite vet in Grand Rapids. They are so sweet to our fur babies. Very friendly service, constantly feeding the dogs peanut butter & treats. My favorite is that they're upfront about the charges & cover that with you prior to doing anything. Nice to know what you're looking at financially.
Highly recommend this place!

The facility is gorgeous. The staff is nice. But they are definitely going to charge you as much as they can. I felt pressured to get lots of procedures done that my dogs didn't need. They also didn't honor the fact that my puppy (who was adopted) had already had most of her vaccines done, and told me that they had to re-administer the shots. In the end I paid close to $300 after talking them down from $600. The two week follow up visit was going to cost me $500. I love my dogs but it just didn't feel right to pay that much money in a month. I felt ripped off.

I don't doubt that they care about my pet. In fact, I love the phone follow ups from the vet after I go in for anything.
That said, they SUPER UPCHARGE AND OVERCHARGE! They are extremely pushy on having you do literally everything possible and they are by far the most expensive vet I've ever used. Must be how they afford everyone in their office wearing new apple watches...
I would say at least half of every visit has been their staff trying to upsell me on some new flea medication for my indoor pets or a new dangled preventative dental treatment I should do. It always feels a bit scammy

This is a fantastic vet clinic. Dr. Happel and her staff provide such excellent care to my senior kitty who has kidney disease. With the help of Dr. Happel's advice and care, we've been successfully managing the disease for over a year. I always get a phone call within a couple of days after an appointment, either to talk about blood work or to follow up on condition if it was a sick pet visit. Eastown and Dr. Happel have earned a patient for life--as long as I have pets and live in Grand Rapids, I wouldn't trust anyone else for their routine care.
I appreciate the price estimates
