Don't let the name fool you. This is a full service shop. I gave them a shot after my father has been using them for years. They combine competence with honesty. It's so nice to have a mechanic you can trust and they fit that bill 100%. They were able to diagnose an engine problem that was inconsistent with the OBDll Code the car was throwing. Had some tire problems after seeing my front tire flat one morning. After putting some green slime in it and air to get me back on the road. Had the tire balanced but afterwards I drive away the front tire was worse than when I first drove in. The worker jacked up my vehicle and shook the tire. He stated that it was a problem with the front end and not the tire. I took the rear tire and put on the front wheel. Took the front tire and put it on the front of the vehicle and nothing seemed wrong. Went back and had a problem with a service tech and had to go back again and got the wheel balanced again

Had some problems with a clerk who wasn't very friendly the day I had my own problems with a tire I needed to balance after a flat tire. The workers doing the hard work with balancing the tire were very nice and I appreciated their help. The store manager was nice also and made sure I was happy with their services.

Called Frank @Tire World and nervously asked if he could put on new wire wheels and hubs on my '69 MGB. I'd been having trouble affording both the parts and labor. He said sure,come down. Car was there for several days with updates from Frank daily. Could not believe it when I saw the car AND the bill. Totally reasonable labor rates, I could not have been happier. I also gave him bearings for the wheels,which he indicated later he would need. If not,he would return them. Honestly was not expecting world class service in national city. A dealership down the road recommended these guys so I dropped by right before closing (yeah I was THAT guy). And they still made me feel welcome, took their time helping me out, did an excellent job and got an amazing price without even negotiating.

Watched them take equally good care of several other customers while I waited. I'm pretty knowledgeable on tires and could tell these guys were giving solid advise, no BS and know what they're talking about.

I wanted to take a second to thank Frank and the team at Cherniss Tire World. I had a flat tire today and stopped by the Cherniss Shop, because it was the only place that still appeared open.
I was expecting to have to pay for a replacement tire. But after examination they determined the tire only needed to be patched, and they did so over the next 30 mins. When I asked him how much I owed for the labor, they said it was free of charge! While the dealership is out to rip you off, Cherniss is out to win you with honesty and a job well done, and they're trying to save you money;they never try to upsell you on services you don't need. I had my rotors and brakes replaced here this past weekend and I am quite pleased with the service. Jose was very helpful and gave me a couple of options to resolve my problem. I felt good vibes when I visited the week prior when I stopped in to ask questions. They seemed fair and honest so choose to come back. On my first trip from Henderson to the San Diego area in my RV, one of my outer back tires was very low. Cherniss Tire World was referred to me by the local RV shop to help me out. Seems like an honest blue collar shop. My mom came here to get her vehicle checked out. They told her everything (as far as her concerns) was still working fine and didn't try to upsell services. They did reset her dashboard settings so an annoying message would stop popping up. No charges for that either. I'd consider taking one of my cars here in the future for maintenance.
