The food is basic American comfort food. The outdoor seating is nice but not fancy. Servers and staff were not wearing masks, which was disturbing and we did not feel that the Covid precautions were safe. We sat outside, which can be loud from the traffic on the busy street but nothing that the restaurant has control over. That being said our server Jessica was very nice but no mask. The food came out quickly and so the service was good. The clam chowder was tasty and thick. The seafood salad was very good. My husband’s Fish and chips were tasty. The price was reasonable.

I regret stopping here. Our waitress disappeared. I never got a drink refill. The food was ok but not really something to go out of my way for. We never got a check. I was looking forward to a nice cool desert since it was hot out but clearly that was not an option. We just ended up sitting at our little forgotten booth for about 10 minutes. Went up and paid and left. The only memory I have now of this place is to not return. Maybe this was just a one off experience. But since it was mine I'll write about it.

As a lifelong member of the community I find it disparaging when a new establishment opens with complete disregard for the members of the community. This restaurant is destined for failure even more so than Althea's the restaurant before it. The owner is disengaged and unreasonable at best. His sister the "night" manager is disillusioned. Despite being SWFL there are certain standards that all humanity expects. This restaurant has failed on ever aspect as a restaurant. I doubt they will remain open long enough for anyone to notice.

We chose this restaurant based on the menu on their website. This included a number of delightful-sounding seafood breakfast items - crab or lobster omelettes and Benedict's, etc. when we got there, we were presented with a "summer menu" that included none of these selections. In fact, there was nothing on the menu that was particularly interesting. I decided to make the best of the situation and ordered an egg white omelette with all the available vegetables. It came made with whole eggs. I brought this to the waiter's attention. Not being a fan of food waste, I accepted it

How do you mess up a Caesar salad? It came out on a hot plate, smothered in dressing (which I asked for on the side), with chicken that had been cooked days ago and reheated.
The server came over after our food came out and simply said "enjoy" and walked away, never to be seen again and they weren't even busy. We actually had to walk up to the bar to pay our check. I will never eat here again.

13 of us were bicycling through the area & stopped at Abby's for lunch. They were able to accommodate us all with outside eating. I got a fried flounder sandwich with potato salad. The flounder tasted good, but the piece of flounder was much more "fry" than actual flounder. The potato salad was very average with red potatoes, Mayo, & dill. It was fun being there, but next time in Venice we all agreed we need to try some other places.

The art of perfectly cooked shrimp and salmon!
We have visited several restaurants in the area over the years and I can tell you that I will rather choose Abby's delicious food and excellent service instead of eating time after time rubbery over cooked seafood with a water front view.
Abby's is our new favorite restaurant. we ordered takeout dinner, the portions were very generous and the food was excellent. We ordered seafood on pasta putanesca, grilled salmon and shrimp scampi. all incredibly delicious.

Decided to give it a try. I had the Pot Roast grilled cheese with fries. Outstanding sandwich with crispy fries. Very tasty sandwich with tender roast beef and lots of cheese. GF had Panko Chicken salad, nice portion of chicken with lots of extras, she enjoyed. Joe our server was on top of everything, great job Abby's!

Abby's is one of Venice's hidden gems. Most of the tourists miss the part of Miami Ave, so, even though it is busy during season-it's not as nuts as some. I've been for both breakfast and dinner and each time, food and service has been excellent.
I also like that their menu is a bit different than what most here offer, and...it isn't Italian! (Which seems to be the most prevalent restaurant type here). Don't get me wrong, I'm Italian, so I love Italian food-but being Italian, I don't necessarily live everyone's version of it here-so I like the fact

Abby’s on Miami is a cozy modern boîte serving parties large and small. Eclectic menu featuring yummies made from scratch. Our reservation was acknowledged immediately. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating on trendy Miami Avenue.Drink was delightful and exactly how I wanted it. One of my dining companions has had the Pot Roast in the past and raved. Another dining companion has been there on several occasions and has only ordered the Shrimp and Grits as they are spectacular. I can’t wait to go back and try more goodies. Abby‘s on Miami… Super!
