Welcome to the IBS School of Cosmetology and Massage located in Eugene, Oregon. We prepare our students to excel in the beauty fields by offering courses in Hair Design, Esthetics, Nail Technology, Barbering, Massage Therapy, and Instructor Training. IBS School of Cosmetology and Massage not only trains people to work in the beauty and massage industries, we also encourage people to try our services!

We offer a variety of services, including haircuts, facials, manicures, waxing, and more!
Services
While cosmetology has traditionally been taught using an hourly based format, IBS has been a pioneer in promoting the newer and more innovative competency based program in Oregon. A competency program allows a student to progress through the system based on performance over a series of written tests designed to evaluate a student's grasp of theory as well as practical exams to assess skill levels.
IBS offers a full range of courses in Hair Design, Barbering, Nail Technology, Esthetics, Massage, and Instructor Training. Our primary goal is to establish a solid base of education and experience, this helps equip students with the essential tools to launch a successful career, as well as pass the state exams.
There are several financing options a student may choose. The first option is an interest free in house plan in which IBS carries the tuition over the course of instruction. Students are required to have paid the application fee, registration fee, and deposit of $900 by the General Orientation. Beyond this, students must maintain a minimum monthly fee of $300 while enrolled and the balance of any unpaid amounts shall be due by graduation.

Allison, who was my beautician today, was so gentle that I fell asleep twice! Great attitudes, friendly staff and students, excellent outcome with my hair. I'll definitely be back and will recommend 10/10.

I spent an agonizing 7 hours here to get my hair dyed. It came out purple (when I asked for a Caramel color). Their remedy was for me to go buy box hair dye.
Definitely do not recommend you trust these people with your hair.

My wife made a surprise massage for a date for both of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our massages. Very professional, private for each person. Very reasonable prices as it is students performing the massage.

Don't get your hair colored here, you'll regret it. They mess up your hair and you'll just end up paying $150 to get it fixed elsewhere.

I got a student who was nervous, working very slowly(not so good if you are getting highlights) and fumbling the foils(she was clearly uncomfortable working with foils) When I asked her to get the color on the full length of my hair because she was stopping an inch or so from the root, she went to get the instructor. The instructor did not actually correct and guide students to provide the service properly and actually was negative and defensive with me instead of correcting the student’s mistakes.

DO NOT get color here!I went in asking for a few subtle highlights You may get a student totally unprepared as I did but that is not the worst. When I realized things were going wrong with my simple foil job, the instructor got immediately defensive, when she took a foil off I could see the student had only managed to get color on half of the hair length, kind of like a porcupine, I asked her to take them all out and she walked away and huddled in the corner with the instructor, I waited and then had to get up and walk over to ask them to take everything out, they were rude so rude instead of apologizing

I read about student cuts. Interested, I went in. Liz was the student who cut my hair. She filled out a survey after asking how I wanted my hair cut. Her instructor then approves the cut after confirming with me. I was Liz's first haircut on a person. There was some nervousness ( on her part... I was certain it would work out.)but the instructor was hands on training with Liz. Afterward, Liz washed my hair and checked for stragglers. The result? One of the finest haircuts I've received. The cost? $8 charge. *Note. Bring cash to directly tip the student. I recommend this establishment and their
