Veterinarian Dr. Alex Casuccio hails from West Virginia and attended veterinary school at Louisiana State University. He offers 40 years of companion animal experience, with advanced skills in dermatology, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmic surgery, internal medicine and much more.
As a previous practice owner of over 27 years and a previous Medical Director for a large corporate practice (supervising, mentoring and coaching 50 doctors at a time), Dr. Casuccio has developed top notch medical expertise along with the friendly, personal approach that all clients want.Dr. Casuccio holds a commercial pilot's certificate in both sea and land airplanes.

Cacti, Cactus's, Prickers or Whatever You Call Em' Dogs (and sometimes cats) will get into a cactus and when this happens, the treatment is the same for them as it is for you. The cactus spines in pets must be removed. The only difference is that you will hold still for the removal. It is unlikely that your pet will be so obliging.

We had a litter of puppies and our dogs received the absolute best care! Everyone was so happy and friendly at every vet visit. Dr. Rice is amazing and we will never go to another vet! So professional and friendly! Our dogs absolutely loved her!

We feel our review is so important and hopefully can save other pets lives. We feel too many have died under the care of this hospital. We took our pet here multiple times and was constantly told he had an infection so we took our dog to another Vet hospital and they immediately diagnosed our dog properly as having cancer. We had to have our dog euthanized. This practice does not prioritize the wellness of the pet but rather money. They also lowball the price of services to get you in the door and then upsell and charge you higher fees. The reviews and the reality of this place tell a different

Scottsdale Animal Healthcare is the absolute best!! I have taken my dogs here for years and have always gotten the best of care. They saved one of my dog’s life and helped us transition with another when crossing the rainbow bridge. The care and compassion is absolutely unparalleled and I will never take my precious pups anywhere else.

Dr. Alex is the best veterinarian I have been to in my 50 years of having pets. I drive 40 minutes each way to bring my dogs here and would be willing to drive much further to see him. The office staff and technicians are also amazing. Thank you very much for taking such wonderful care of my fur babies!

Look no further if you need excellent care for your pets!! I drive 35 minutes each way because of the superior care they offer. In April 2021 my 13 year old pup Sprout wasn't breathing well after a family trip. Tried my vet and 5 vets in my area but nobody could get me in. My daughter takes her pups here so thought I would call them. They had a full schedule but surprisingly squeezed me in as an emergency. They had imaging & medications onsite and EVERYONE was very kind and caring. My dog was diagnosed with early heart failure by Dr. Holly spent the time explaining what was going on despite their

It's amazing how attached you get to your furry little friend. When they get sick it breaks your heart bc you can't fix them yourself. You can only hope you have quality vet care available to you. I'd been numerous times to Scottsdale animal healthcare.... unfortunately since my little Maltese had been quite ill. Every time we were there, everyone took such great care of her. The front staff always has a smile. The vet techs go over everything they need to get the patient ready and the doctors are all amazing. Kind, compassionate, and they care... They really care. It was time to put my baby down

Our family has had nothing but caring, loving and efficient care from all of you. You all helped us when we were dealing with Scout's lymphoma. You offered treatments that we used when we decided chemo was not the route we wanted to go. Dr. Rice got us in to see the oncologist when the original wait time was much longer.
When it was time for Scout's spirit to be released, all your staff on duty on his last visit, the day before he passed away, were giving him hugs and love. That meant the world to all of us.
