Award Realty began in earnest in 1988 by Floyd and Genelle Hardin in the hopes of helping people achieve the goal of home ownership. Their daughter, Marcia Botts, although not in the family business, had always had an interest in Real Estate, and took classes for certification while living in Pennsylvania.

Gail was my realtor agent. She acted like she was working for the seller.. Everytime I told her what I wanted, she acted like that was impossible. I have to wait for my money to come in and she replied: I wanted to pay cash. I have proposed to the seller through their agent what you asked me to do. First I suggested they pay all your closing cost, second, I proposed the take the property off the market for as long as it takes for you to obtain the funds, which could be months or years. In both cases, the agent laughed at me. There were other suggestions before she make this comment. we also discussed

Buying a new home can be tough and frustrating but I will tell you that Marcia Botts and her team at Award Realty are fantastic! We mainly dealt with Marcia and her right-hand-lady, Hanna, and absolutely loved them both. They were always friendly, fun, patient and very willing to help you through your searching and buying process. One great thing they do is keep you in the loop, they have fantastic communication skills...you know exactly what is going on and what to expect and if you are unsure of anything, they are happy to help and answer any and all questions! So yes, buying a home is hard work

Marcia was great to work with. Really knows her stuff. Had a lot of patience with me when I was looking for a house, and I looked at a lot. And was great to work with when I sold the house. I had to leave town before it was complete so she kept up with everything and kept me informed. And the house sold quickly which was a definite bonus since I had to leave quickly for the new job.
