This was the worst experience I have ever had with taxes, and thats saying something. I originally submitted all of my documents on February, 9, 2020. I didn't hear back for 2 months. When I called the accountant, he said he was working on it, and that he would get back with me, he never did. Luckily, the IRS extended the deadline to July 15th, due to Covid. After 10+ calls following up with the accountants, they finally submitted my return to the IRS, 5 months after I originally submitted my documents. This was the biggest headache of my life dealing with this company. Extrememly unprofessional

So my husband brought all of our tax paperwork to this place probably about 6 months ago if not longer. Kevin was the guy he was dealing with and we've not heard anything from him. We don't have an email for him, everytime we call we're told he's unavailable, or he'll call us back, but still have yet to hear from old Kevin. He has all our tax documents, ss numbers and all of our info yet he never did what he was suppose to do. Sounds like communication is very far fetched from what I've read. And now I'm receiving a freaking letter from the IRS!!! And now some company has all mine and my husband

I really dislike leaving a bad review and this is the first time I have ever left an internet review of a company. However, me experience with Essex Tax has been terrible over the past year. During my initial filing, my original accountant was terribly inefficient and non-responsive. I had all of my paperwork ready to file in February; however, it still had not been filed in June (deadline moved back due to COVID). As my original accountant was apparently no longer working at Essex, Wayne took over my account and finalized the return just before the July deadline. Everything was fine until I get

My family has been going to Essex for many years. They have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Essex and the company. I got my taxes done here last year and when I told Dr. Essex that I was an accounting major he was quick to give me advice and offer me an internship. I have had my taxes prepared at Essex Tax for the past 6 years and I have loved the experience. Very professional atmosphere. From the moment you walk in you are treated as a guest. They offer you something to drink which is a very nice gesture. I brought in a refugee from Eritrea that I was reaching out to and they did his taxes for free. Also they prepare taxes for single moms and widows free of charge. They are the best. Highly recommended.
