Dr Chuck Blonien began his career in the heart of Dallas in an area where finding affordable veterinary care for animals was sorely needed. Since then, through providing excellent medical care for his client's pets, Parker Animal & Bird Clinic has become one of the best in the area.

Always great service with a friendly and calming atmosphere. Clientele and staff alike are kind and helpful. I get my dog’s flea and heart worm medication here and they make sure we get the best deals and usually get my dog’s meds immediately, despite always being busy! So glad we have such a great clinic nearby.

Always good service and caring. Went for the low cost clinic this month. Recommend they allow clients to sign in when they arrive even if early to maintain fairness and avoid frustration. They don't allow sign in before 12:30. Some people get there extra early and have been patiently waiting. Some people have no consideration for the people that they know good and well were there waiting before them and rush to get ahead on the sign in sheet.

We have been going here for over 20yrs that cover numerous visits for our dogs for basic checkups, yearly shots, Surgeries, ear infections, hernias, back pains, injuries, and even needed the service to put 1 to sleep. Front desk is absolutely amazing and inviting, processes people quickly while informing you of any over due shots and checks whether you would like any services they provide or medicines you may need refills or need. Waiting room is medium size with about 20 chairs but this place is not a large building. You do have options to wait outside or in your vehicle while waiting to get you

After 20+ years going here I just had horrific experience with Dr Bionien. Went to get jell/wax put into Labs ears who has been going there 6 years fir ear infection. Said I could not just see lab tech. He charged me $120 for 5 minutes consult which we already knew the problem. Changing after 20+ years. Sad. I’ve recommended it over 20 times. Never again.

We have been going there for 15+ years, have brought our pups, our family's pups and cats, and multiple friends pups to this vet. Always had a great experience until the last couple years, which they have gone downhill considerably. Appointments mean nothing, you still wait as if you're a walk-in. Getting them on the phone is near impossible (their phone etiquette is atrocious btw) and they show no concern as they just stand around or post up on the back ledge talking to each other. It's sad really because the actual vets are amazing, but the front office staff are a bunch of lazy

Even though they were very busy, they still offered support for when my lizard needed to be put to rest. I'm so thankful they could be so kind even though he was just a little lizard. I loved him dearly and thank you for helping end his suffering. He lived a long time and was a true fighter . Here is a picture of when I first got him in 2010.

I had gone to an ER clinic the night before and they told me to visit my normal vet the next morning. (Parker animal & bird clinic) I called ahead and they said they have walk-ins everyday from 2-4. I arrived at 2:30 saying i was there for a walk-in. They said they are apparently full, so i ask them for emergency references. as i sit and wait in the waiting area, a lady walks in stating she's also there for a walk-in and they ask her the name of their animals and why they are there. she states that her dogs need vaccines and nail clippings. They put her on the list and she goes back in

The front desk ladies decided for whatever reason they did not like me, so when I went and waited, I was put at the end of the list several times, they allowed others that came in after me to go before me. i MENTIONED THIS TO THE DOCTOR, AND THE MANAGEMENT. Last week, I finally trapped a cat and needing to get her out of the cage sooner than later I called and asked if they could see me, yes but come before 4, after that, no promises, I got there 40 minutes later at 2:55 after driving the 40 minutes to get there, and the ladies at the front desk said I could not be seen, I was too late, I protested

My friend came had been coming to this clinic for a while. Her dog had been placed on antibiotics and she had been informed that her dog potentially had a bacterial infection. HOWEVER, he had written in his notes that her dog could potentially have cancer, but decided not to inform my friend of this possible diagnosis. Antibiotics don't help cancer :-). Very disappointed. It took two months for her to find out that it's cancer, while it could have been discovered earlier had this vet not neglected in informing her. I'd definitely choose a different practice. **Something else very note worthy, the doctor was not aware what dog ibuprofen was?? It was mentioned we had aspirin for our dog, & she had no idea what it was. As well as medicated shampoo for allergy prone dogs. To the point to where she asked us to bring it in next time for her to see. Its available at PetsMart... Makes me very, very uneasy when the doctor doesn't even know what dog ibuprofen is or any prior history of our pets as another doctor in that office is the one who advised us to start using the shampoo we do.

As much a I like the actual veterinarian, the front desk workers are not friendly. An appointment is helpful, but you will still wait 25-30 min to be seen regardless.
They're not very friendly while you're here at the office and they're not very friendly when you call.
My dog gets very excited when being around Other dogs and not being able to play, the staff just looks at you, makes you feel very uncomfortable..
My dog is a rescue, very playful but is also very Skittish..

They will not authorize over phone or fax pet meds ordered from online pharmacies even though my dog is a patient of their's and they have prescribed him the long term use of Apoquel 16mg.. This is 2019 and you guys are living in the past. Forcing your customers to purchase medications from you or your overpriced pharmacies will cost you customers over the course of your business dealings.
There is no generic Apoquel on the market and you guys charge almost 2x the amount per pill than most online pet med websites. If you guys really cared about our animals well being you wouldn't be
