Services
I have Italian food in my veins, or maybe sauce! I was born into it. My father and grandfather owned Canino's pizzeria in Denver, where I learned how to make the finest pizza and the freshest bread. At thirteen, I knew what worked and what didn't. I brought that knowledge to Fort Collins over 40 years ago, opening my own restaurant in the 1905 historic landmark home Canino's Italian Restaurant has been in since day one.
The history of the landmark building that houses our restaurant is a rich and colorful one. Built in 1905 by Jack Corbin, then sold to his wife in 1912 for a dollar, it's seen just four changes in ownership in nearly a century. A family named Fitzsimmons bought the house from Mrs. Corbin and stayed for 40 years.
In Italy, the coffee is hot and to the point, the mozzarella is fresh and the people eat with gusto. Consider your gathering, our gathering. Canino's Italian Restaurant takes pride in its catering, from weddings to board meetings, luncheons for 100 or lakeside gatherings for 500, we have the menu for every occasion.

I really wanted to love this place. It's quiet and warm on the inside with the stained glass and dark woods.
The staff are really nice.
It's probably me but I wasn't thrilled about the food.
The two rolls were a little stale.
The French onion soup isn't very flavorful. Just ok.
I got the sampler - lasagna, ravioli, and spaghetti. The lasagna was dry. Even though they put sauce on top, very dry on the inside. The ravioli (one) was fine. The spaghetti seemed like the noodles we a little under cooked. All three shared the same sauce which was sweet but not great.

My husband and I decided to have a date night, and we had an old gift card to this restaurant. We ate dinner then we handed our gift card over to pay. The person told us “we don’t take those, we stopped taking those 15 years ago.” Now I recognize the gift card was old prob like 7 years old, NOT 15. I have never had a restaurant no longer honor their gift cards. She didn’t offer a discount, or apologize. She just ran my credit card and handed it back. Honestly it wasn’t the fact they didn’t take it, it was more on how we were treated. Poor customer service.

Had a very nice meal in a nice atmosphere. Relaxing place with a excellent wait staff. What we had for dinner was very good. I just wish they could expand their veal & chicken by adding a veal or chicken… saltimbocca and a veal or chicken with artichoke, mushrooms and lemon caper sauce. I will not hesitate to go back and bring friends. Cheers!

Anniversary dinner. Wait staff was good. Helpful suggestions and accommodating. Wine and beer were good. Had Bruschetta appetizer. Lovely presentation and tasty. Salads came next. Mine came on a tiny plate which made it difficult to eat without making a mess. After salads we waited and waited for main course. At least 20 minutes. I had ordered shrimp and scallops with angel hair pasta. The scallops were perfect. The shrimp was waaay overdone and chewy. Angel hair pasta was perfect. Sauce was good. The presence of flies was annoying, but the old house is interesting architecturally. It was a “good”

Three friends and I ate at Canino's on Monday, with the luxury of having the rooftop patio all to ourselves! The person who called asked about it, and the hostess said that if we could give them a little while they would clean it up. Apparently we were the first to ask in a while.
I had the Scallops Marinara on top a bed of fettuccine, but asked to substitute the while alfredo sauce . . . no problem. The scallops, not a particularly easy item to prepare, were perfectly fried. Bread doesn't normally come with the meal, but they supplied a crisply baked loaf, just for me. My meal was

Had a late lunch, early dinner. Although it was off peak hours, it became very busy. The service was outstanding along with the food. I had the Scampi Gaetano and my mom had the spaghetti with meatballs. The shrimp and Gaetano sauce were delicious. My mom loved her spaghetti and dinner roll with whipped butter. Josie, our waitress, was delightful and very attentive.

This place was awesome. Daughter is new to Fort Collins and I, dad, helped her move from Wisconsin. We decided on Italian and to not pick a chain restaurant. We found this gem. Daughter is vegan and they prepared her eggplant Parmigiano that way. I am not vegan and had a wonderful Pizza. Great staff and will be back when we come back to visit.

We haven't been here for quite some time. Arrived for a early dinner at 4pm. I ordered a bottle of Chardonnay for the dinner, but our server told us they were out of all white wines. He did go to the cellar to double check and had found one bottle. Since it was more expensive, he gave us a discount. It turned out it was quite good and we appreciated the discount. I ordered the veal marcela which was the best I had ever had. It had a wine reduction (which means you put the wine in a pan on a low boil until you have a creamy sauce with less water in it). The veal was sliced very thin and was easy

UPDATE AUG 1 2021: ANOTHER great dining experience. Canino's menu is STILL loaded with great options including pasta, seafood, beef, chicken, apps, pizza and so much more. The mussels tonight were sensational. So was the fried calamari appetizer and the classic French Onion soup. Ordinarily I would have a salad since it's August, but I don't often have a chance at French Onion and assuming it would be deep and rich and satisfying, I went for it. Was not disappointed.
What a great Italian dining experience - the kind I miss that is still readily available in South Jersey, Philly and New York, but

I had my Bridal Shower here May 2017 & we all absolutely loved it! We had a private room upstairs reserved for 3 hours. It fit all 20 of our guests comfortably. We created our own menu for the event and it was great! We truly enjoyed the food and our time there! Our server was Dylan (I believe that's his name) and he was incredibly kind and helpful. The owner, Mr. Clyde Canino, was awesome as well! We ended up booking another party there for our graduation next year because we loved it so much!
Highlights: Private space available, excellent food, excellent staff

Celebrating our anniversary in quarantine. We had our rehearsal dinner at Canino's 13 years ago. Ordered take out last night. They had a smooth, fast, safe system for getting the food to the car. Everyone on the phone and delivering the food was great and the food! Best meal we've had since the lockdown. Thank you!

Cute little Italian spot in Fort Collins. The restaurant is an old house that has been restored into a restaurant. The menu is pretty large ranging from pizza, pasta, chicken and a lot of seafood options. I opted for the "treasure of the sea" and it was pretty good. My plate had muscles, shrimp and scallops served over a bed of fettuccini noodles. There were only 2 scallops and shrimp the rest were muscles, which was a bummer as scallops are my favorite, but everything was cooked well. There are other options on the menu which have just scallops or shrimp too. The garlic bread was very
