Solid Five Stars for By the Sea/LB Brokerage as it is now managed by Maria Wells with Carrie Lutz. They are personable, attentive, and responsive. What more could you ask for? As homeowners for 30+ years, we had reservations about being tenants because we like a well-maintained home. There was no need for concern. It's a win-win: we respect the property and they respect us.

It took yelp 4 years to remove a review I wrote. The said it was outside the guidelines. Well if I can't speak the truth about a business the yelp is useless. That's why Google has reviews now and they don't delete them.
Here is my review again.
I rented an apartment at 218 Belmont Long Beaach CA and LB Brokerage (AKA By the Sea) took over managing and it was nothing but problems. They don't fix anything unless its a plumbing issue and the only reason they do that is because they have to or the health department will be notified. Jessica the contact person acts like she

Believe all the bad reviews you see they will take your money and regardless of all the information you give them for income verification they will harass your work will use unfair practices in deciding who their tenants will be this place needs to be investigated. They have to be up to no good. We ended up deciding not to do business with this company because of the stress that goes with their processes. Larry gets upset with once you call him out on his practices and starts to yell, I think he needs some anger management. I think they want to do the right thing but can't seem to figure

I rented a house that was managed by LB Brokerage for a year. Whenever I had an issue, they sent someone out right away to fix it. When I moved out, they gave close to my entire deposit back. As a side note, Maria at LB Brokerage is the absolute best! She was always pleasant on the phone and in person. Overall a great management company!

My son and his friend applied and were accepted to rent an apartment. Myself and his friends parents were the co-signers on the lease. We were told to have cashiers checks for the deposit and first month's rent by Aug. 5, which we did. We all live in the San Diego area and the kids are attending CSULB and needed to move in asap. Preparations for the move were made for Aug. 8-9. Just before 5pm (I'm certain the office closes at 5pm) Aug. 4, the friend's parents were called and told that the apartment was given to someone else. Really? How do you do business this way and get

Well, this review is actually about an agent/broker of theirs by the name of Mark Vinton. The Trulia app returned a listing @ 438 Cedar Avenue and he was the contact person with whom I scheduled a viewing. The first sign of an issue was when he informed me that he was renting it out for his 90+ year old lady friend as a favor. Regardless, I paid the $25 application fee and was approved. All was going reasonably well until he informed me that the 1st months rent and security was payable in CASH ONLY. I told him we could meet at a bank where I would purchase the $1500 money order/cashiers check

Love doing business with a professional, Larry Boren and his team have the right formula to list and sell your real estate. We have completed a recent purchase, LB Brokerage literally saved our deal. I have not used their management services, but their location makes me think that are readily available when you need them.

What a waste of time. I answered an ad for a listing they had for an apartment rental. I got a response to come check it out. The next day I go to the office to check out the key. When I arrived the girl told me three other people were interested. I thought ok, I've been in situations where they look at all applicants and decide which is a better fit. So she gave me the key and off I went to check out the place. I loved it. Well when I get back, I tell her I'd like to add my app to the list of hopefuls. Then she says, well the owner is out of the country right now but he gets in today

Oh, the problems have only gotten worse. So, again, I reiterate, unless you plan on filing a small claims action, or enjoy that sort of thing, do not ever rent from these people. Now I have to sue them. Silly, since it's over a pretty obvious legal violation of pesticides sprayed continually without any notice. The psycho HOA president of my building is to blame for this, but is not responding, and duh, the management company's job is to intervene, since they have been contacted 5+ times about this complaint in the last several months.
