It takes courage to ask for help. There are times in one's life that one may be overwhelmed with emotional distress, disconcertment or a feeling of hopelessness. I am an English and French speaking counselor and LGBTQI ally with a background in child, adolescent and school counseling. I enjoy private practice because it allows an in-depth exploration of issues clients may be struggling with. I've been in private practice for the last 10 years.

I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and Psychology (Skidmore College), MSc Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology (UCL),M A Counseling (Webster University), Certificate in Criminal Psychology and Behaviour (St Lawrence College) and a Certificate in Therapeutic Play (PTUK/PTI).
I use an integrative approach to therapy to provide quicker and better results for both children and their parents. My philosophy is to make counseling approachable and as non intrusive as possible. As a result, I try to implement strategies that are inviting and seemingly natural for children/adolescents - whether it is through play, art, mindfulness, walk and talk therapy or through sports.
Self-care can seem luxurious or even frivolous but here is why it is important for your physical and mental health: we are less able to handle stressful situations when we are physically and emotionally exhausted. Implementing a daily self care routine can help alleviate the toll chronic stress can have on the body.
Guided visualisation is a fan favorite with my child and adolescent clients. Before starting the exercise it's important that you are grounded; fully connected to the present moment. Take a look around your around your environment and list. After listening to a guided visualisation script, I encourage my clients to recreate an image they connected with through art (paint, play dough, glitter), poetry or lyric writing.
Dear Pritha, I am very thankful that you helped me go through this chaotic summer. Thank you for, in a way, bringing "me" back. This year has been very tough but the weekly sessions really helped me out. Thank you for teaching me how to avoid getting overwhelmed. I am glad that I met you and that you became my therapist.

I called the phone number and she said that she is not a counseling agency and not to leave a message about that. So either this is a scam or someone messed up the number.
