Services
Jane Hickerson, PhD., LCSW, served on the faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington for over 30 years. In the School of Social Work, she taught courses in intervention with mental health clients and in human development and behavior. Ultimately, she served as Assistant Dean of Field Education.

As a coach, I will help you "mind the gap." By looking at what's holding you back, what's draining your energy and distracting your focus, I will partner with you to bridge this gap between where you are and where you want to be.
My approach to counseling is from the strengths-based perspective. This means that in the counseling process, I work with you to identify the strengths you already possess to meet the challenges you face. I offer you a supportive environment where you can explore your inner resources and also develop new skills to solve problems, create healthy relationships, and achieve your therapeutic goals.
I offer individual and group supervision at reasonable rates. I have supervised social workers from multiple work environments for over 20 years to help them successfully complete the state requirements for the advanced license. I provide a confidential environment and resources to help you sharpen your skills, increase your tools, and improve your professional expertise.
