Services
Since 1998 We have been serving the Knoxville Area by offering quality counseling services from a Christian Perspective. Our Christian perspective informs the way we work, as well as how we see our work. Life has many challenges. Facing them often leads to anxiety, depression, anger, troubled relationships, and spiritual confusion.
We offer a variety of services for individuals who are interested in pursuing counseling services at Ebenezer Counseling Services. Our counselors work with a wide range of people and we offer services for a variety of issues. Marriage counseling, or couples counseling, has as its ultimate goal the healing, strengthening and development of healthy marriages.
Below you will find a brief introduction to our counselors including the areas of therapy in which they specialize. At Ebenezer, all counselors work from the foundation of their Christian faith and worldview. Our counselors are either licensed, or are in supervision as they work toward state licensure.
Every counselor brings a view of the world, how it works, what is right, and what is wrong. Every counselor has underlying values. Though counselors are trained to be professional, attentive, and focused on the client's issues, their values do influence the therapeutic process. At Ebenezer, our core values are based on the foundation of the Judeo-Christian scriptures and our living relationship with God through Christ.
This policy is in place to honor and protect your therapist's income. At ECS, your therapist is paid a percentage of the revenue their work here generates. If you were to not show or if you cancel late, your therapist would be here and ready to go, but he or she would not be paid anything (nor is Ebenezer for that matter).

Caring, compassionate people. If you need someone to talk to this is the place to go.

Josh is literally the worst marriage counselor I have ever encountered. He let my husband talk for 37 minutes un-interrupted and then when it was my turn to talk they both kept interrupting me and wouldn't even let me talk for 7 minutes. I walked out. Josh also called me manipulative and started gaslighting me (which is on video recording since TN is a one party consent state). Supposedly a "trauma" counselor... yeah right. Do not go here.

Ebenezer Counseling has been such a blessing in my life. I have struggled with anxiety for most of my life, and coming here was the best decision I could have made. With friendly and empathetic counsellors who use scripture-based knowledge to uplift and encourage their patients, I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I see Gretchen Fromke, and she has yet to embarrass me or make me feel inferior for my anxiety. I really couldn't have asked for a better counselor. Amazing place with awesome staff!
