The food is very fresh and very delicious. I don't normally like buffets but this is very clean, the food comes out very quickly and fresh, and there are people waiting very patiently to refill your glass or get you anything you need. It's a little more than fast food for lunch but absolutely worth the money, in my opinion.

Staff not friendly, rude young men in tatty, dirty looking street clothes kept whipping away plates during the meal.
The starters (pakora, "onion bhaji" and samosa were all dry and sub-par and the onion bhaji, wasn't an onion bhaji. More like Texas toothpicks.
The entree's were just okay, but my chicken curry, "medium" hot was actually as hot as a vindaloo. so was glad I'd also ordered raita.
Dessert was, again, okay, Gulab Jamon and Kheer.
Felt rushed and was not a pleasant dining experience.
Very much doubt that we'll be back.

Pleased to see the buffet reopened here. Although Tandur became a nice alternative for my Indian cravings, it just wasn't the same. There is something about Sitar that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. It's a 'no frills' type of small buffet with a large dining area - they greet you, seat you, serve you water, and then you quickly get up to feast on their Indian deliciousness. There's a reason this place stays busy for lunch 7 days a week. And if there's something you miss on the buffet, you can ask for it a la carte. Just do yourself a favor and get you

Maybe this is good Indian food for Knoxville but this tikka Masala tastes like it was made by someone who has never had tikka masala. Idk if they were out of cream or yogurt or what but there's no creaminess to it at all, and the spice is pretty poor even though I requested it to be spicy. It's like...thin and smoky.

The food was delicious. We came to try the buffet. The last time we came here was years ago and it was for supper. I had a mango lassi. You could really taste the mango in it. It was smooth and refreshing. The waiters we're attentive. You had about 3 standing and waiting to serve the patrons there.
The first time I tried Indian cuisine was when I was in France. It was authentic Indian cooking and the family were from India. I loved the way they played on the various spices to create an intoxicating smell. When I came back to Canada and ate at a local fast food I could not finish eating. The only

Everything is well made and tastes good. I was expecting it to be a bit spicier but it was buffet time and they were probably cooking for gringos. Even the guy with the water pitcher was very attentive. I did not try the vegetarian dishes due to my own allergies, my wife said they were much hotter than what I ate, especially the chana masala.

I really enjoyed this spot. The dishes I had were prepared with a very nice recipe, with a perfect balance of spices. The menu is quite large, offering a variety of choices for anyone that comes in. I dined in for dinner but was told that they have a lunch buffet. I'll need to stop in soon to try their lunch so that I can try more of their recipes!

It was quite crowded when me and husband went, but it's to be expected on a Saturday evening. Once you take your first bite, it totally makes sense why. Every dish was SO good! Bursting with authentic flavor. The staff were all really welcoming, it's so nice to find a restaurant that has such a warm and homey atmosphere.

Chicken Tikka masala is Smokey and full flavored. The chicken was tender and juicy not overcooked. The shrimp narghese was delicious and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. We also had lamb karma which was exceptional. The meat was fresh and tasty and tender. Everything was cooked to perfection. Everything was hot and spiced perfectly. We ordered it hot, it was but not too hot. The service was fantastic. I wish we lived down the block. They are not open for in restaurant dining.

First, they are open for indoor seating.
There were three of us. We started with the mixed pakora for two, followed by, Chicken Tikka masala, Lamb Korma and shrimp narghisi and two naan. We had it regularly hot, not Indian hot and still needed to order raita to help with the heat.
We shared all the dishes. The lamb korma was exceptional, tender and the sauce was infused in the flavor. The chicken was tender with a slightly smokey flavor, the shrimp dish was as close to perfect as I have tasted.
To find this restaurant in Knoxville was the biggest surprise, coming from Houston and coming out

OMG! The vindaloo is perfect. Just enough heat to make it interesting but not enough to make it unpleasant. The naan is out of this world in taste and texture. The samosas were both crispy and well seasoned.
I really like Sahib in Johnson City, but this is truly authentic and reminds me of Coriander in Sharon MA and Masala in McLean VA.
I will be back tomorrow for more vindaloo and swing by for some tasty paneer for my wife!
Keep in mind that this isn't the typical buffet Indian but superb Indian that has a great balance of authenticity and portion.
