My name is Kelley Deal and I'm a leftie, a new mom, a travel partner to my husband (Matt), and a wedding photographer. I like a dry sense of humor and terrible tv, and I am best-served behind a camera on the dance floor. I grew-up in the midwest and it shows - I say pop, I've visited a giant field of 8' tall corn statues, and I pretty much refuse to eat a slice of pizza without ranch on the side.
Planning a wedding can be a lot to juggle - everything costs something, and it adds up fast. I'll do everything I can to make it easier, starting with transparent pricing information and as much flexibility as I can offer. Nadia and Gunnar are not only amazing photographers, but also friends of mine that graciously modeled for this shoot in Joshua Tree this spring. They're gooorgeous and seeing them in all glammed-up in the desert with bright colorful flowers and a stunning gown about did me in. It was an amazing trip to California, and SoCal's feature was the cherry on top!
We loved having Kelley shoot our wedding, she made us feel comfortable and somehow managed to capture all the special moments and details of our day without us even noticing. She really captured the essence of our wedding weekend and we are so grateful! What a FANTASTIC photographer! Kelley is super sweet, creative, professional, and talented.
As a wedding photographer - maybe more importantly, as a former bride - I learned that wedding planning is intense. It's exciting, overwhelming, and all leads up to one of the biggest days of your life, no matter how big or small it is. We've done 4 family photoshoots with Kelley over the past two years because she's 100% worth it. Her beautiful, candid photos capture our growing family and our individual personalities perfectly. She makes it feel fun and easy. She's also great at capturing the little moments with our toddler that remind us about how special this time is. Can't recommend her enough!

My fiancé and I won an Instagram giveaway for an engagement shoot and it was probably the best part of wedding planning!! My fiancé does not like getting his picture taken, but Kelley made it absolutely painless and actually fun! She was so professional, kind and creative. We were blown away by the pictures. I cannot say enough good things about our experience and would recommend Kelley to anyone!

We loved working with Kelley so much for our engagement photo shoot!! She was super responsive when scheduling and selecting a location, and the photos turned out amazing! I love the style of her photos and we could not have been more happy with how they turned out. We have the photos framed around the house and used them on our wedding website and save the date cards!!

I am so grateful that we found Kelley. She photographed a friend's wedding in Asheville a few years ago and I loved the style of her photos. When my partner and I decided to get married in a non-traditional tiny ceremony in the woods, I reached out to Kelley to see if she was available. She was amazing to work with and really understood what we were looking for. She even helped us pick a spot for our vows. She captured the sweetest moments and the personalities of everyone who attended -- including our dog, Stella. Even with such a small ceremony, you couldn't feel that a photographer was there

My husband and I have LOVED working with Kelley. She is incredibly talented and so easy to work with. She quickly puts everyone at ease and makes the photoshoots relaxed and fun. We were all amazed at how many photos she was able to capture as well. We had an hour engagement shoot and were given a plethora of amazing photos back. I love how she edits the pictures, and she really captures the true essence and feeling of the occasion.
She was also so understanding and flexible when we had to continually move our wedding date due to COVID. She also helped to give me some super great intimate wedding

I was looking for a local photographer to capture engagement photos in NC and stumbled upon Kelley's work. At first I was scoping out the locations she used to get inspiration, but then I just fell in love with her work and had to use her! She was really great to work with, flexible with our crazy schedule, delivered the photos super quickly, but most importantly made the experience a breeze. She truly captured us and our personalities and didn't feel staged. Couldn't recommend her more!!!

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HOW AMAZING KELLEY IS! Seriously, the best photographer we've worked with! We've had multiple family sessions with Kelley over the years. It is never easy to have photos taken with toddlers, and Kelley works her magic and the pictures always turn out AMAZING. We love her style and attention to detail.
