Desert Tails Animal Clinic is proud to serve the Scottsdale AZ area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Aric Remen, who is a licensed, experienced Scottsdale veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Aric Remen was born in Puerto Rico and was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Resources, with a concentration in Wildlife Habitat Management from Arizona State University in 1995. Before starting veterinary school, he worked on a variety of wildlife projects, including Urban Coyote Project in Tucson.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Darcy at Front desk was rude
Called to see if they performed a particular surgery (ruptured cruciate ligament/acl in dogs) - Darcy answered the phone, I politely asked if they had a moment to answer a couple questions - Darcy said "you have five minutes" - Okay, well... sorry to have bothered you.... but okay
I asked - Darcy rudely said "we don't perform that surgery" and literally hung up.
Glad I wont be going here

I’ve been taking my (crazy) black lab to Desert Tails Animal Clinic for 8 years, and recently my fiancé switched her lab/chow mix to Desert Tails, as well as we are now taking our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy there- with each dog, the staff has ALWAYS been so good, and thorough. They do not run extra unnecessary tests and let you as the owner make… the decisions you think are right- they just provide their recommendations. They’ve never been pushy when it comes to routine treatment, vaccinations, etc. I would recommend them 100% to anyone looking for a very professional

Dr. Remen and his staff are fantastic! We recently had to say "Good-bye" to one of our beloved Chihuahuas. We don't feel that we would have had as many quality years with her had it not been for Dr. Remen. We have a male Chihuahua who is extremely frightened when going to the Vet. Dr. Remen and his staff have worked with us to make his visits possible without having to muzzle him. That's how I KNEW that he was our vet. He's a gift to us and our four legged family members.

We've been with Dr Remen for over a decade and multiple dogs. He has always been practical, professional, informative and caring. Their is no doubt that caring for animals is his calling, and he is very good at it. We have come to trust him and know that his advice is well reasoned and informed, and with the pets health as the primary consideration and not profit.

Dr. Aric and his entire team are kind, accommodating and efficient. We've have multiple "emergencies" when we've had to bring our pup in last minute and they have always made room for us which we sincerely appreciate. We just had an amazing experience at this animal clinic. We are from out of town and our dog needed some sutures and staples removed. They immediately cared for our dog with the utmost of professionalism. The facility was spotlessly clean, very welcoming and the staff were awesome. Special thanks to Maiya at the front desk for helping us. We’re so grateful for the kindness you showed us.

Wow! This was an amazing experience. We are visiting from out of town and when stopped by the clinic to get our dog some medical care. Maiya was so kind and responsive. She was able to get our dog seen by a vet immediately. It’s can be rare these days to experience kindness and excellent service, but this place has it all. Thanks to everyone there for taking such great care of us. Highly recommend.

No one can fill Dr Remen's shoes as a veterinarian. He is kind, patient, considerate and thoroughly knowledgeable when it comes to our furbabies medical needs.He really listens and is down to earth. We are so fortunate to have found him. His staff is fantastic too. We highly recommend him. You won't find a better man or veterinarian.

Desert Tails Animal Clinic has been my Veterinarian of choice for as long as I can remember. Dr. Remen along with the staff of Erin, Heather, and Cindy are a wonderful bunch. They get to know you as well as you pet and treat you both with compassion and understanding.
