I struggled to write a biography about what "I am". However, I would like you to know that I am a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, hard-working person with a positive attitude. I grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. From an early age I had a strong desire to become a Veterinarian. This was further encouraged by several factors.
Our veterinarian is experienced in diagnosing and treating environmental allergies, food allergies, and flea allergies in cats and dogs. Pets can experience allergic reactions when their bodies are exposed to different allergens. Our veterinarian is experienced in diagnosing and treating allergies in pets.
First, assess your pet's condition and remove them from the dangerous substance. If they're having trouble breathing, are unconscious, having seizures, or bleeding, take them to an emergency veterinarian immediately. If they seem to be acting normal, gather the evidence (leftover packaging or pills), and call your veterinarian and/or contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435.
While we humans know we need to take care of our own teeth, most of us don't realize that our pets' teeth need regular dental care, too. Our veterinarian at South Meadow Animal Clinic is proud to provide pet dentistry services to our feline and canine patients. Left unattended, cats and dogs are at risk of developing periodontal disease (also called gum disease or dental disease).
As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and that's especially true in veterinary care where our patients can't tell us when they aren't feeling well. Without wellness exams, preventative care, and routine checkups, most pets' health problems go undetected until they've had plenty of time to progress far enough to cause noticeable symptoms.

My bulldog wasn’t feeling well this morning and I couldn’t get him in to see his regular vet. South Meadow Animal Clinic came up on a google search as being close by and I called to see if they could see us. The woman I spoke with was pleasant and professional and was able to get us an appointment to be seen this afternoon! Upon arrival, everyone I dealt with was very polite and professional and I felt at complete ease with a new vet/staff taking care of my baby! South meadow provides exceptional service. Our pup has always had anxiety with storms and fireworks. Up until we brought her to this clinic ,we were not made aware that there was medication to keep them comfortable . They also responded quickly when we were close to running out of her meds just before the Fourth of July. I definitely recommend using!

I can’t say enough about this clinic. My pup likes to get into just about everything… so she is chronically prone to roughing herself up. I’ve brought her on several occasions and we both love it. They introduced us to some anti anxiety medications that calms her for storms and fireworks . On this last occasion, I had just gotten in from out of town the day before New Year’s Eve to find her eye swollen and red. I called and explained the situation, knowing they were likely booked. My boxer Thor is 1yr and 4 months old. He has been with South Meadow since we brought him home at 10wks old. They have handled all of his wellness care as well as ear cropping. This year I moved and literally have a veterinary 5 minutes away instead of visiting them I drive almost an hour back to South Meadow. Ive been more than pleased with their attention to detail with Thor’s ears and basic needs. My trust is with this clinic and I highly recommend them for all your fury friends needs.

We just moved here and our dog was super sick we called South Meadow and even though they were almost closed they agreed to see her. Everyone was so nice even though they were kept late, they didn’t act like it bothered them , they seemed more concerned about the health of our dog. We knew we would need to find a new vet but didn’t expect 3 days after moving but now we have found our vet in Fort Worth.

Super happy with the services provided for my pup Diesel’s ear crop procedure! the staff is super sweet and professional and give detailed information as to what your pet needs when it comes to vaccines and medicine. i’m extremely pleased with Dr. Mayes and the job he did on Diesel’s ears! I took my dog to this vet for the first time in June 2020 for an allergy shot he gets every month. He has received this shot for 2 years and it works within 48 hours. Due to covid I wasn’t allowed inside. I told the guy who came outside that all he needed was this specific shot. He comes back almost an hour later with a $300+ bill of suggested services I didn’t ask for. I said no and asked for the shot I came for. I had a voucher for a free first exam but since I had called to get a quote they would not accept my voucher because I had called for a quote so I was “already in the system”

Not at all satisfied with the results of Icy's ear cropping procedure. Photos clearly show how uneven and off both ears are. Dr agreed he removed too much skin from the right ear and wanted to do a second surgery to correct by removing outlined area in thirty days. He outlined with a permanent marker where he would put my puppy back under anesthesia for a 3rd time and do corrective surgery to try to match both ears. I disagreed with a second surgery and Doctors response was "well, I'm not giving you any money back"... I trusted him to do a good job and he failed. Total bill was over $1000. He even

There are no words to describe how much we love South Meadow. We brought our mini schnauzer Bleu here to get his ears cropped and from the first visit we knew we had come to the right place. The staff is amazing and Dr.Mayes is unbelievably awesome. They always explain everything with so much detail and answer any and every question we may have. We live in Dallas and we definitely do not mind making the 45 min drive to take our fur baby for his check ups/vaccines/etc because we know he is in great hands and have peace of mind knowing that everyone there will treat him as if he was their baby.
