Materials testing at CTL includes evaluation of both metallics and nonmetallics. We conduct property tests in virtually any environment. We test to customer and standard specifications for all types of mechanical properties including tensile, compressive, shear, fatigue, flexural, electrical, peel, impact, and other miscellaneous standards.
Multiple loading configurations are available, including; three-point bend, single cantilever, and dual cantilever. Multiple loading configurations are available, including; expansion, penetration, compression, tension, and flexural. The Q400EM also features dynamic loading and temperature modulation capabilities.
CTL is completely equipped to conduct physical, electrical, and thermal testing on most materials. We conduct tests in accordance with required specifications such as ASTM, NEMA, federal and military standards, plus customer- or company-developed specifications. We maintain all test equipment under strict calibration traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
CTL features a well-trained staff for strain gage applications. Our extensive experience is unmatched when it comes to applying gages on a variety of composite and metal specimens and structures. We provide 63 servo-hydraulic and 5 electro-mechanical test machines with load capability to 200,000 lb.
