Services
Are you separated or thinking of separation? It is critical that you contact an attorney as early as possible in the process in order to protect your interests. Whether your divorce is contested or uncontested, you need sound legal advice. Ashton Law Office in Roanoke, VA handles divorce in Roanoke, Salem, Blacksburg and the surrounding areas.
Ashton Law Office, PLLC brings more than a decade of trial experience to the table, trying cases before judges and juries in every corner of the Commonwealth. Whether your case involves divorce, custody, support, protective orders, business law, contracts, intellectual property, constitutional law, civil rights, municipal law, personal injury, bankruptcy, or government contracts, we can help put you in the best position possible.
An uncontested divorce is any divorce where all relevant issues (including the date of separation, property and debt distribution, spousal support, and all child-related issues) are agreed by the parties, and therefore there is nothing left for the Court to decide. An uncontested divorce is really an exercise in completing the appropriate paperwork to ask the Court to do what everyone involved agrees needs to be done.
Why would we do that, when lots of other attorneys demand $100 or more just to get in the door? Because we see consultations as more than just an opportunity to make money. We believe that the consultation is an opportunity for you to ask important questions, for you to become better educated about the law and process applicable to your situation, and for you to gain a basis to make better decisions on your path to success.

His preparation was on point, and his knowledge of the law and of the judicial system, along with his convincing and straight to the point presentation overwhelmingly convinced the Judge to rule in our favor.

The judge sent a letter to him the first week of April asking for some clarification on the paperwork he submitted. He stated he needed to look into it and would follow back up. The last time I heard from him was on April 27, stating he would call the courts that afternoon than call me back. It's OCTOBER and I still have not heard back, my divorce should have been finalized by May at the latest. I've called several
