It is so important to us, we added it to our mission statement: Tuscarora Family Dental Care provides high-quality, comprehensive dental care in a compassionate and comforting environment.
Kathy is another vital asset to our dental family, bringing over 30 years experience in both dentistry and orthodontics to the table. She's a team player, helpful, honest, and outgoing. Kathy functions as an expanded-duties dental assistant to Dr. Browning, and is certified in the application of dental sealants and fluoride, children's cleanings, nitrous oxide monitoring, and preparing teeth for crown impressions and fillings.
Dr. Browning grew up in Cross Lanes, WV and moved to the Eastern Panhandle in the Spring of 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Latin from Marshall University.
She attended Dental School at West Virginia University and also completed an additional one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she held hospital privileges and provided dental services to homeless veterans.She is additionally certified in the use of lasers, nitrous oxide and oral sedation.

Dr. Smith grew up in Hedgesville and attended Hedgesville High School. He later went on to receive his dental degree from West Virginia's School of Dentistry. He gained valuable advanced education and training while completing an additional one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

First time visiting Tuscarora Dental yesterday and it was a great experience! Great location, plenty of parking, was seen quickly. Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienist to the dentist were so nice and welcoming. I felt comfortable and felt very informed on everything that was happening/what further treatments I need. Will definitely be back!

As a first time patient here, they did amazing at making me feel welcome. Literally EVERYBODY there was great! I was a little nervous because I haven’t been to the dentist in years and was afraid of judgement, but there was none. Talking to those ladies is absolutely like sitting down and chatting with your friends. Love love LOVE this place!

I have had my share of bad dentists but this visit was one of complete compassion about me and my teeth. I was scared when I walked in because of past dentist visits but walked out no longer fearful and happy to see a dentist who explained things, laughed, listened and was great. What an awesome team of professionals! They went out of the way to make sure that I was comfortable every step of the way. This was my first visit to this office, and I was blown away with how great it was. Going to the dentist can be stressful, but I felt at ease with everyone I interacted with. If you don't have a regular dentist please give them a chance. You won't regret it!

I am not only terrified of going to the dentist but avoid it at all costs (especially after years from childhood of just overall poor quality care and billing issues). I finally decided it was time to find a dentist and after going to Tuscarora I will not go anywhere else. Mandi was so helpful, informative, kind and most importantly GENTLE! I also really liked Dr. Brown. The office staff and Johnny Cash DDS are also extremely kind and helpful. Even with a pretty poor outlook on my teeth after the first visit I was happy to go back and even happier to have a clean bill of health.
