Hello my names Quincey, yes this is going to be a lot but it's well worth the read.
I moved into Bluestone Lofts August 15th 2020 age 19 attending my first year of college thinking it would be this awesome luxurious place to live as described on their website but it was quite the opposite, Bluestone is a Piece of work to say the least.
My move in day was full of unanswered questions and confusion as the Leasing specialist at the time was very misinforming. I was not given very much time to review my lease as I was rushed into signing it because "the important stuff" was read

Looking for the right apartment is really difficult. When it comes to safety, the amenities, and convenience bluestone has it all. Great scenery, entertainment, proximity to campus, pool, and on top of it the free furnishings in the apartment... it was an easy move. I'm so happy I chose to live here.

As a resident of 4 years , I definitely have had time to really call this place home. Bluestone’s location, amenities, and staff have been great in assisting to my needs when I have had them. I’ve come to know Jen and Kierstyn and they have made my stay at bluestone welcoming and fun esp with all the events thrown!

I only lived at Bluestone Lofts for the 2020-2021 academic year and I loved my time here! The amenities are some of the best you can get in this area such as study rooms, pool/hot tub, and an outdoor patio. The apartment itself was super nice and clean. Bluestone did a great job matching me to my other roommates and I have become friends with.
Kierstyn Fibert was my leasing consultant and she went above and beyond to make sure that my time at the apartment was awesome! She was very communicative and made sure that I felt confident enough before move in/move-out dates. Jennifer and Brianna at the

I never leave reviews but my experience was not the best.
I lived at BlueStone during summer, I subleased a room from May-August. I agreed to their 10-day early surrender policy (lease ended on the 14th of August, but I was kicked out on the 4th), unaware that that meant I agreed to pay rent for those 10 days even though I legally wasn't allowed to stay in the unit during those 10 days! Not financially worth it... I now know what language to look for in leases to avoid.
I wish I could add pictures because I was charged for a replacement stovetop that was done after I moved out. There was

Not a bad living space but kinda cheap stuff for the amount you pay monthly but they’ll fix your things fairly quickly. However, not a fan of the management team at all. They treat you poorly if you’re a college student. So glad to be out of that lease. So, if you want an over priced place to live with an entitled staff this is the place for you. (except for the cleaning and maintenance people they were beyond nice)

I lived in this apartment for three years while I was an international student at UMD. There are several things about Bluestone that I did not like:
1. During COVID, they were continuously inviting other people for interviews to join their staff, thus putting the residents at risk. They did not reduce the rent despite shutting the amenities for… four months.
2. The Resident Assistants are very nice, but the leasing staff and other people of the management are very rude and difficult to talk to. As a person of color I have felt constantly discriminated by them. Additionally, we got an email

So far, being at Bluestone has been like home to me. I could've lived in a sketchy neighborhood in a very old house with run-down appliances and a scheming renter, but instead I gave this beautiful 2-bed, 2-bath apartment a chance! With their furnishings, I didn't have to go out and buy furniture, saving me at least $1,000. With their security system and staff, I didn't have to buy ADP or Ring to protect my home, saving me a good $100-200. The place was equipped with a gym and free coffee, saving me a gym membership and a morning cup of joe at Starbucks (80$ monthly membership at Anytime Fitness

By not being crooks! I don't have the words to describe how I feel about the way they do business! Moved another person into my son's room while he was paying rent. When we went to check him out this kid we didn't know answered the door. When I refused to pay the last months rent because someone else was living there they kept a $500.00 security deposit! Then three years later sent me a letter threatening to sent me to collections because I owe the $8.09!!!!! You people are disgusting!

I lived there and so did my sister. It is very nice and anything after BlueStone will be a downgrade! I really loved how my packages were always safe and behind a locked door. I see many apartments that leave them out - not cool. I also had so much fun talking to the front desk ladies and managers. We always had a great convo and good laughs. One thing I will always miss is maintenance! Any time anything was wrong, even small as I do not know where a cord gets plugged into - they would fix within 24 hours no joke! Even better is that you can submit a fix request online. I never had to meet with

Bluestone is absolutely not wort living in! They are a complete rip off. The nickel and dime you to death. Be very careful with you lease agreement. If you pay your last rent payment through a particular date (i.e. August 14) you would think you should be able to stay there - nope you have to be out 10 days before that. You may pay for those ten days but you're out on the street 10 days before. For example, you are done as of the August 4 instead of August 14. And, if you don't get out by noon on that 10th day, they charge you $50 per hour until you get out! Charge you for parking

Bluestone management cares about money and money only.
~$750 a month is too steep for this place. Sure, the place is very close to campus, but there are other options at much cheaper costs.
Management will take $125 out of your security deposit when you leave for "wall touch ups and carpet cleaning" even if you made no scuffs on your wall or keep a… clean floor. The list of charges that could be taken from you at the end of your lease are insane, such as $100 for carpet stains and $15 for vacuuming (remember the $125 coming from your security deposit for carpet cleaning? Sneaky way of charging

I would highly recommend living here! There are various great workout facilities including a yoga studio and workout studio which are my favorite! A pool, hot tub and sauna as well! The apartments are really new and nice with the perfect size rooms and own big bathroom! It is located in the perfect spot near both campuses and there are restaurants close by. The apartments looks over Lake Superior which is gorgeous! I feel safe and secure here and the staff is really nice and helpful!

I TYPICALLY DONT LEAVE REVIEWS BUT FELT THIS WAS NECESSARY.
I lived at the Bluestone Lofts for about two years. It's a decent place to live in terms of convenience and amenities. However, that is overshadowed by management practices. They will try every possible way to get another dollar out of you.
First, the rent is overpriced for Duluth, MN. I had a 2 bedroom for ~$1700. There is an early submission policy within the lease. That means, even though the lease is over on August 15, you are expected to move out of your apartment 10 days earlier. But you are still expected to pay half the

Bluestone treats their residents like profit centers. They don't tell you all the time when they're plowing the lots, which will result in your car getting towed 9 miles away and having to pay $100+ to get it out of impound. In addition to that they lie to the future prospective residents-- saying that you'll have access to certain amenities and then taking away those amenities only months after you've moved in. The staff started out nice but lately it seems like they just don't really care anymore and will speak to the residents like they're stupid. On top of it

Well, this is a management company that is in their own world. The new building, the "flats" is a terrible waste of money. Way overpriced for what it is. I've lived in major metro areas and the rent in Duluth is more expensive for a smaller apartment.
The apartment is with terrible sound insulation and multiple times per week I can hear the intimate relations, loud music and parties next door between the hours of 2-6AM. There are literally 100 cameras throughout the building where it feels more like a prison. The management is essentially non-responsive to concerns. The hidden

This place is AWFUL. I have lived here for three years (since it was built) while I went to college, and the management is terrible, the walls are paper thin, and they nickel and dime you to DEATH. You have to pay for a half of August's rent even though you have to be out off your apartment by August 2nd or 3rd, so you're paying about $325 for two days. Next, they claim you get free cable and WiFi, but the WiFi is BEYOND slow, and they cut out main channels like MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, ABC Family, etc. so that you pay more money by buying a cable package. They oversell the parking passes

Financially it's not worth it to live at BlueStone!! I'm so angry... they snuck in a prorated charge of $366 for August (half of a month's rent), but I had to be out by August 2nd... When I confronted the front desk, she gave me this guilty look and just shrugged saying that she didn't know why they had to do it. Very disappointing... On top of that cost, they also gave me only $237.94 of my $500 deposit back because of a "soiled stove and refrigerator" and "misc. charges" even though I cleaned that apartment very well!
Really sucks, especially when I had

Very nice apartments and the staff was generally helpful. However, they ripped me off by insisting that I be out August 2nd while demanding I pay $324 for a lease that expired August 15. Even when I had to work for the weekend in the area until the 4th I was not allowed to stay in the apartment I was paying for, and because of that I was forced to pay $200 for a last minute hotel room. That in addition to the rent I was planning on paying for a new apartment cost me $894 for the month. I have never had this experience with any apartment complex ever and I was incredibly disappointed in the management
