The Charro (Originally El Charro) simply means 'The Cowboy'. A name derived from the Chagolla men working as ranch hands since the 1800s. The idea for The Charro Restaurant was born from the dream of two starry-eyed kids in 1970, Pete & Carmen Chagolla. Although it has undergone a few updates, it has remained in the Chagolla family ever since - That's 51 years!
We get out of bed each morning to put a smile on people's faces :- We do this with honest food, a good atmosphere, and most importantly a good time! Today El Charro serves as 'The Place To Get Spicy' in Greeley, CO - Serving Colorado-Style Tex-Mex, Traditional Mexican, and New Age Mexican-American Cuisine.

I’ve only been to El Charro a few times with my coworkers. The past couple times, we had fine experiences - food was alright, staff was friendly enough, restaurant itself is a bit dark and dingy.
I went there with two of my coworkers this past week and had a horrible experience. The waitress was immediately very rude to us when we walked in, she gave us a dirty look, mumbled something under her breath, and walked away. She then came back, asked us how many were in our party, and walked away again. Shortly after, she came back and said: “You’re supposed to follow me.” We apologized and

Honestly love this place, the food is amazing. But every time I come here they’re already closed or closed or closing at 7:50pm. Even though it says online that they’re open till 9. The hours on google are NOT accurate and I can never actually eat here because they close so early. Very disappointed.

Cute lil place. Menu looked amazing but then Sub par on drinks, frozen margarita tasted like chopped up ice water w a lime and no flavor in meals. It's like someone forgot that salt existed and other spices. An no bartender experience. Doubtfully will ever retry. Given the price would be hard to risk.
