Turquoise Rawlings-Perrin is the Founder and Therapist for Ascension Counseling Services. She is a graduate from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia with a Ed. S in Counseling w/ a concentration in Community Mental Health. Mrs. Rawlings-Perrin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Supervisee (CSAC-S) who has over 10+ years of experience in the behavioral health field.
Group therapy is a process through which a small gorup of people meet with a therapist to talk about a particular issue(s) with which all of group participants are struggling. Yelling, name calling, using obscenities, throwing a tantrum, drinking, or even the silent treatment are all common things that people do when they are angry.
In therapy sessions, we will work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. Ascension therapist are deeply familiar with the unique needs of children and teens. Children and teens deal with an array of challenges that can shape who they become as adults. Therefore, it is so important in therapy to get their views on what the presenting problem is.
