Stephanie Schmidt (formerly Stephanie Townley) began practicing acupuncture in 2000 after graduating from Southwest Acupuncture College with a Master's degree in Chinese Medicine in 1999. She has been practicing in Spokane since 2007, and in early 2018, moved her office to the Northside of Spokane to be closer to home.
She loves helping people and is fascinated by energy (Qi) and its many forms, and how blockage of Qi can affect the body. These blockages may be from injury, emotions, or negative thought patterns or beliefs established over time, manifesting as pain, illness, or a myriad of other issues such as anxiety or PMS.

Powerful energy healing session I had today. Went in for acupuncture and Reiki for chronic tension and energy blockages in my body. After relaxing with the acupuncture needles for awhile, we set an intention for the Reiki part of it to move the energy freely throughout my body and release the tension I have. I began to feel powerful surges of electrical energy pulsating throughout my body. It was so powerful it caused my body to feel like it was shaking uncontrollably from the energy, intensified my breathing tremendously, and when I woke up my body was soaked in sweat. It was an incredible energy

I was referred to Stephanie at QI Works by my mom who began seeing her several months ago to get acupuncture. I had never tried acupuncture before to treat my migraines, so I thought I'd give it a try, and I am so grateful that I did! My migraines are few and far between now, whereas prior to the acupuncture they were on a weekly basis. Stephanie is AMAZING! She is extremely knowledgeable & an expert when it comes to acupuncture.
