I first started taking our vehicles to Mt. Airy Motors for service back in the mid-80s. No problems with their services back then, but as we replaced old vehicles with new ones, we got into the "dealer service" cycle, where the dealer that sold you your new ride makes every effort to keep you coming back for service, which (no surprise) is where the dealership *really* makes their money.
Well, the years (and several new vehicles and included services) have passed, and here we are, back to Mt. Airy Motors for "continuing care" for our current, not-new, but not-old vehicles

I dropped my car off for the second time to Mt. Airy Motors today after being referred to them through my CarMax warranty. My A/C had stopped working last week and then yesterday I noticed my check engine light was on and my car was running funny. I am not the best at "car stuff" and Ted was very patient as I explained what was causing my concern and that I wanted it looked over too as I'm planning to trade in soon. Upon dropping it off I addressed all of this and then was given a courtesy ride back to my home.
By 4 p.m. Ted had called me back to explain that the issue was caused

I had a coolant leak on the way back home to Ohio from Baltimore. I went to this place from a Google search. The guy got me in and looked at my car in less than a minute. Seemed like a really honest guy and the place was very speedy and did efficient work. I didn't feel like, as a woman, I was being taken advantage of. I highly recommend this place.
Though the guy didn't plug the wiring to my headlight back in for some odd reason. That's about the only negative I can come up with.

These guys are great! I have them so all of my work on my Dodge Cummins. They really know their stuff and they have great customer service.
Communication between the customer and the shop is great. They keep me updated on what's happening during any given repair.
I never have any surprises on my bill. They always consult me before performing any maintenance that will increase the original cost.
This shop completes work very fast. Many times they will get things done same day.
I recommend this shop to everyone!
