If you run your own business, you know important it is to find the right business financial partner. You know how important an accountant can be. But not all accountants are created equal! Most accountants do a fine job recording the history you give them. They compile monthly, quarterly, and annual books and records.

At tax time, they put the "right" numbers in the right boxes on the right forms. But then they call it a day. My name is Bill Zumwalt, and at Team Zumwalt, we're different. We don't just record history. We help you write it, with a proactive attitude and complete menu of tax and accounting services.

My name is Bill Zumwalt, and I'm a third-generation Certified Public Accountant. In fact, my grandfather was one of the very first public accountants certified in the entire state of Oklahoma. I grew up watching my father and grandfather practice "old-school" accounting -- mainly just putting the "right" numbers in the "right" boxes.

It's massive, and it's complicated. At more than 2,400 pages, the Affordable Care Act (ACA for short) has left businesses and individuals confused about what the law contains and how it affects them. The aim of the law is to provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans.

To reach that goal, the law requires large companies to provide health insurance for their employees starting in 2015, and uninsured individuals must get their own health insurance starting in 2014.Those who fail to do so face penalties. Insurance companies must also deal with new requirements.

Mr. Zumwalt has been my tax expert for many years and is so knowledable of all tax issues. He notifies me of any upcoming issues I may need to deal with, got me back on track to pay corporate and personal taxes on time to avoid costly penalties, provided me with a great payroll company to make my monthly and quarterly taxes on time so I don't get any surprises in April. He even provides expert advice on issues such as buying the next vehicle and how to make that purchase work in my best interest at tax time. An invaluable resource in my self-employed business.
